Well made heavy motorised slide, I waited until it was on sale as it is an expesive item. As well as using the unit to position an ultra short throw projector It automatically slides back into the AV unit which gives the lens some protection from dust. When setting up be aware the projector should be powered off and that means totally and not on standby. If not the shelf will not slide back to the close position when you finish watching the projector. I had this issue with my hisense P2 projector which remained on standby and worked around this using an Alexa routine to turn the mains power of at the plug serving the projector after the film completed.

Convenient to use if you have a cabinet to place the AWOL 3500 I have into. Other than that, I have to open the door of the cabinet manually, but that is related to the cabinet not the platform. The projector slides out on top of the plate when turning on the media player. Easy to adjust how far the plate comes out with two buttons on the back. Connects easily to the AWOL 3500 with a USB C cable provided. A convenient product to use with the AWOL 3500 if you have a cabinet that it fits into, be mindful that the platform adds a significant height to the AWOL projector which can alter where you can place your screen (or the size of the screen to use).

Really good and useful tray. Installed be me inside a locker saving space and helping keep projector clear. Only one suggestion for seller: position adjusting buttons will be more useful on the front of device.

I bought this AWOL Motorised shelf as I wanted to have as big a screen as possible, without the projector always sitting far away from the wall. This shelf was very easy to install and is silent and smooth in operation. I can now have a 150-inch screen. I am now investigating shelf/stand options and then once I have fully decided on that, I can then invest in a screen. Currently, this is projected on my wall. Which is very good in my view. The photos don't do the image justice. As per the title of the review. It will need to sit on a unit/shelf. You will not be able to just mount it to the wall, it does need support. It comes supplied with a power socket and a USB cable so that you can connect it to your projector. I have an AWOL2500, which I will also review. Now I can just turn the projector on and the shelf will automatically move to the last setting you had it set to, when you turn the projector off the Shelf will then gently and smoothly return to its standby position. It works as advertised and allows you to save some space when the projector is not in use. The tray slides out smoothly and automatically when the projector is powered on and slides back to closed and compact form when the projector is powered off. This slider is a great match with the 150" screen and the projector.
