I've ordered these dowels twice. The first time, they were fine. they're 1" dowels and there are 6 of them. ordered another from the same vendor and this time I got 5 out of the 6 I needed. Either someone doesnt know how to count or they were distracted when bundling these up. They're dowels, but because of the missing dowel which i actually needed, they get 4 stars. i missing star for 1 missing dowel. Other than that issue, they're great.

Nice, solid dowel rods. Cut cleanly with a handsaw. Useful for repairing wood items and decorative purposes. A little pricy, but for the quality and ease of not having to go out hunting them, fair.

I wanted these dowels to make handles and they worked out perfectly. The quality of the wood is excellent. They are all perfectly straight and exactly sized. They are not too porous which is good. I used a lathe to shape the end of the handle and the wood held up. Basically this is not cheap dollar store wood. It is quality and the sizing is accurate. I would definitely recommend these dowels for any project.

These dowels are nice and straight, not bent or warped, showing they have been stored well before shipping. They appear to be strong and there are no knots or imperfections in them that could mar the look of them overall. I have ordered them for a plant wall that I wish to make, and intend to cut them into thirds and secure them to the wall to hang plants from. I like that I can choose what length to cut them so that I can use them to support shelves or simply to hang a small plant. My wall will be a wonderful, eye catching area in our living room and I am looking forward to making it. The price is good for solid wood and I would definitely recommend them for multiple uses. They could be used to make a coat rack, hang vertical banners from them, etc. The possibilities are endless.

I required something to help me stabilize some solar-powered mushrooms for my balcony garden, so I jumped at the opportunity to obtain these wooden sticks! What I wasn't expecting was that they would be so thick! But, nonetheless, they certainly helped me enormously! Got a task that requires thick, sturdy sticks - these will definitely do the job for you!

These rods are definitely made out of hardwood of sorts. Looks like white ash, but not quite, so I'm guessing some foreign hardwood. They feel quite dense. No wooden dowel will be perfectly round all the time, because moisture affects dimensions, and wood expands and contracts at a different rate in different grain orientations. When I received the rods, they were almost perfectly round, though, undersized by about 1/128th of an inch. The grain runs mostly perfectly along the length of the dowels. Only on one of the the grain runs just a bit diagonally, but not exceedingly.
