The Original Ceylon Tea Company, English Breakfast Tea, 25-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6)

Without a doubt my absolute favorite tea ever. I have been making due for the past five years with Twinings and Tetley and always told people about my favorite tea, the Ceylon English Breakfast with the Elephant on the box. I am currently in the midst of prepping for tea parties that I host with current favorite tv shows, and on a whim I searched for Ceylon English breakfast. I was shocked to see it was still in business, and am happy to purchase again.I don't remember exactly what this tea has versus the other popular brands. Something about the depth of flavor and how perfectly well it paired with cream and sugar. Whatever this tea has, it is the best.February 7th, 2017 Edit: I still adore this tea. Tea is my weekend drink, for on busy work mornings when I wake up in the middle of the night, only coffee will do. But when I have time to sit, relax, and reflect on my weekend, I brew a good strong pot of tea. Ceylon English Breakfast is my weekend treat that I look forward to every Saturday and Sunday.This tea has a very smooth and mellow taste when compared to Twinings English Breakfast. There is a slight acidity in Twinings that is completely missing from Ceylon. A splash of milk or cream thrown in before you pour the tea really compliments the natural smoothness of the tea itself.Although it's unfashionable (and for some, unfeasible) to spend an hour or two sipping a full pot of brewed tea, when you find a perfect flavor it's worth it. Rather than boiling 8 oz. in a cup and throwing in a teabag, then wishing you had more when it was done, why not try making a pot of tea and enjoying it the way people have for centuries? I personally use this gracie teapot:  Gracie China Pink Petite Fleur Porcelain 3-Cup Tea Pot  with an Ulster Weaver's tea cosy:  Ulster Weavers Roses a Terrific Knitted Decorative Tea Cosy/Hat  then buy a fine china teacup, and you can sip your morning away without having to get up and make multiple cups of tea.This is the most popular tea I serve when friends come over to catch up on the latest tv shows together. Hopefully it will be yours too.October 7th, 2017 Edit: Oh no!! It's currently unavailable! I went to purchase another 6 pack and it's not available to buy! Now I have to find a new perfect English Breakfast! Super disappointed!March 24th, 2018 edit: Good news! If you still want to purchase The Original Ceylon Tea company’s teas, you can purchase them directly from their site! I tried various different brands of English breakfast, and absolutely nothing compared.I still wish that amazon stocked it again, but being able to buy direct is fine too. They also brought back their black vanilla flavor, which I am eager to try.

I used to visit Sri Lanka frequently when it was still called Ceylon, and came to appreciate its tea . Of the Ceylon teas available on line in this country I find this the most satisfying.

Ceylon teas are supposed to be the best in the world and breakfast teas are supposed to be bold, this tea is a disappointment. It has a delicate flavor that I find far too subtle. Its flavor would be lost with a touch of milk. I will finish the packs but not buy again. The tea is packed in standard bags with a foil master bag keeping the tea fresh until the first opening.

I am really into tea, especially black teas, and I appreciate many different origins--Chinese, India, Kenya, Assam, etc, but there is a particular "tea"ness to the Ceylonese sourced black teas, that I go back to time and again. This is by far--BY FAR--the best representation of a Ceylon tea in a tea bag that you will find! The flavor is clean and clear, with the floral and wood notes present to a degree that you don't find in any but the very freshest, best whole leaf teas. It has a rich red/amber color, with plenty of body.This is not an English breakfast tea in the traditional sense, as EB is usually a mixture of Ceylon, Indian and or African teas. This is pure Ceylon, and you can taste a difference.Try it against any of the English brands(Twinings, Ahmad, Taylors of Harrogate), or against the top end American brands (Republic of Tea, Tazo, The Tao of Tea), and you will find out how good it really is.And it is so inexpensive! I don't know how they do it!Their Earl Grey is a beautiful version of that classic--just enough bergamot, with good quality leaves.Anyway, BUY THIS TEA!

I love this tea. There is a smoothness about it the other companies tea don't have. This is my second case I have ordered. Shared a cup with a friend the other day and it was a hit. They took a box home and I received a text a few days later that they are really enjoying the tea.

I have used this brand of English Breakfast tea over the last few years to make cold-brewed iced tea. My verdict: consistently good, without a tinge of bitterness.

If you are a tea enthusiast, do yourself a favor, and try this delicious product. I am spoiled for life. No more Lipton!!There is an amazing aroma and depth of flavor that I've not found in other brands, and I've tried them all.The first time I served this tea to my [usually distracted] typical teen-ager girls, they asked, "What is this tea? Best tea ever!!! My grocery store quit carrying it for some strange reason so now I order in bulk on Amazon because we love it that much. We always keep it in stock in the pantry!! It is great iced or hot!!!
