Product Description Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I is a 3 Megapixel Full HD Dome IR PoE CCTV Camera (4mm Focal Length), an ideal CCTV camera for both indoor and outdoor low light environment usage with up to 3 Megapixel resolution (2048x1536) . This camera features an EXIR IR array for optimal performance in low light environments, both indoor and outdoor. As this is a PoE (power over ethernet) IP camera, it does not come with an external power supply as it is designed to be used over a network in conjuction with a PoE router/switch/NVR. This camera can be used as a standalone on a network if you have a compatible power supply (12V DC, 1A) , however it is recommended to be used alongside a PoE NVR (Network video recorder). If you are using a third party NVR, please ensure it is PoE and can supply sufficient power, or you're using a sufficiently rated PoE switch/router iPhone as well as Android apps are available for remote monitoring, these apps will only allow you to view live video if you are not using an NVR. I'm returning it, I didn't manage to make it work. The thing is: it works only in Windows' Internet Explorer and anywhere else, and once you don't have a computer with the Window OS you have no options. Even within Windows OS, it doesn't work with Firefox.So I borrowed a laptop with Windows from my fiancée and tried with it. I used Internet Explorer and there was two possible choices to view video, both required plugin installed. One of the plugin requested firewall change, another requested download from a Chinese website.I would try harder, there might be some other things to do, but then i realized the camera itself runs a .asp application, so it itself runs Windows OS and here I give up: one day it will catch a virus and without any access and even awareness about its antivirus mechanisms I'm not taking the riskExcept that, the camera is of good quality and the quality of video is rather amazing

This is an excellent camera and in everyway a better camera than Foscam
Wanted something different to my current cameras which are Foscam. Tracked this camera down on Youtube, and after doing my homework bought this model. This is an excellent camera and in everyway a better camera than Foscam, by a wide margin, but still a good price. I have had problems with Foscam software over the last few weeks and wanted something different. The only problem I have now is that the Hikvison makes my other cameras look very ordinary.

Great quality camera
I came across this brand from a website I frequent. At first I thought it sounded like a cheapo brand. How wrong was I!?Fantastic piece of equipment, quality is superb and the fact that hikvision have their own app which streams in good quality also is a great plus.The set up can be tricky, I am pretty tech savvy but this was a pain. I strongly recommend buying the hikvision nvr it takes a lot of the set up stress away!!

Arrived in just 5 days all the way from the Far East! Awesome quality, and build is better than I hoped. Not fitted to house yet but day and night tests via PoE switch worked well. Will buy another once back in stock.
