I was looking for a compact yet powerful solution for my home office, where I often multitask between work, streaming, and some casual gaming. This Mini PC caught my eye, and it’s exceeded my expectations! With the Ryzen 7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD, this mini PC is impressively fast and responsive. It handles everything I need, from running multiple apps to streaming smoothly in 4K. The setup is simple, and the small design makes it easy to fit anywhere, even mounting it behind my screen for a clean look. Connectivity is a breeze too—Bluetooth and dual-band WiFi make sure my devices stay connected without a hitch, It come with some Usb and hdmi ports and looks great. Plus, it’s remarkably quiet, so I can stay focused without distraction. Whether I’m working, watching movies, or gaming, it performs perfectly, and for the price, it’s one of the best investments I’ve made. I’d highly recommend this pc!

Got this product last September. Despite all the good reviews. I don't really agree with all of them. The PC works but not as expected. Since day one it was very slow on loading up until now. It sometimes takes more than an hour and many restarts. But when it works it is not bad. It is good for browsing and watching or streaming videos. Can't connect an external hard drive or it will become very slow. I also tried a flash drive and it acted the same. I did factory reset but nothing changed.

These are great little PCs for the money. They are quiet and perform general office tasks like spreadsheets, word processing, and internet very well. I have also done some light gaming (strategy games like Sid Meyers Civilization for example) and it ran well. I have bought a few of these over the last year or so (2 Ryzen 5 and one Ryzen 7) to replace older windows 10 desktops in our office and home. I had trouble with the Ryzen 7 unit not starting properly after a few months and after some correspondence with tech support they exchanged the unit with a new one that seems to work well. The included instructions could be better and they are not that well built (mostly plastic) but the specs are good, the ports are sufficient and the price is hard to beat. I was also happy about the Tech Support. (I was surprised that they even had tech support at this price!)

Using this unit for Proxmox. So far, I have no complaints for that. Proxmox 8+ has drivers for both NICs. The 1 gigabit NIC is a Realtek, and the 2.5 gigabit port is powered by the Intel i226-V (Rev 4) chip. The unit is very efficient, and at low CPU usage, it's almost silent. In BIOS, find and set AMD CBS/Fch common options/ac power loss options/ac loss control -> Always on to turn on the unit as soon as power is supplied without having to press the power button. It comes with a very plain AMI-based BIOS. No fancy graphics. The unit also comes with Windows 11 Pro preinstalled. I only used it for a bit, but it seems pretty snappy for desktop use. I do strongly suggest supplying your own clean version of Windows and license, because this thing actually shipped with the "Synaptics.exe" worm that a number of these cheap Mini PCs seem to be infected by. Windows Defender caught it immediately. After this, I put on a clean version of Win11 and scanned it with ESET, including UEFI, and the firmware and OS seemed clean. The license key is in the firmware, and so I had no issue activating a fresh install. Do note that the key classified as "VOLUME_MAK", a volume license, so take that for what it's worth. It activated for me, but there's no telling if future activations will work.

Review - KAMRUI Mini PC - AMD Ryzen 5 5500U 6C/12T Processor Up to 4.0Ghz, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY - I’m quite pleased with this budget friendly Kamrui brand AMD Ryzen 5 5500U CPU based tiny computer. See my attached screenshots for verification of the hardware components inside the Kamrui AMD Ryzen 5 5500U computer. This computer comes with OEM licensed Windows 11 installed. I've made windows 11 palatable by adding the - Start11 Windows application - to it to return the Win11 start menu to usability. - THE DETAILS - I have only a few qualms with, (criticisms of ), the Kamrui AMD Ryzen 5 5500U CPU computer. - First, the Kamrui AMD Ryzen 5 5500U computer runs somewhat “warm” in my opinion, with its CPU temperatures averaging about 50C (see provided HWINFO64 app screenshot). - Second, the fans inside the Kamrui AMD Ryzen 5 5500U do not seem to support PWM (pulse wide modulation) fan speed control. - Third, I have not yet been able to get into its uefi bios, most importantly to see if the uefi has fan speed control configuration in it, and also just to take a look its bios. - Fourth, without access the Kamrui AMD Ryzen 5 5500U computer’s uefi bios, and without PWM support, I have not been able to make any adjustments to the cooling fan behaviors that the Kamrui AMD Ryzen 5 5500U computer exhibits. - CONCLUSION - Despite my minor criticisms noted above, the Kamrui AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, with its 6 core 12 thread laptop type cpu (see win11 task manager screenshot), is a budget friendly keeper in my opinion.
