One thing I know for a fact is that keeping a tan going once you get it relies a lot on keeping your skin moisturized. The quickest way to lose a tan is to let your skin dry out and flake away or peel off.The NORVELL GLOW SYSTEM POST-TAN FACE LOTION is part of a tanning system for people who don't have the time, the weather, or the inclination to get a natural tan. The first and most important part of this system is the self-tanning lotion. That is what actually allows your skin to tan without any sun exposure. Since I haven't tried the actual tanning lotion, I can't comment on the system in its entirety.What I can tell you is that the post-tan face lotion is a relatively thin lotion for moisturizing your face and keeping your tan longer. It is hydrating and should keep your skin from peeling or flaking. My skin is dry anyway, and I noticed that this did a good job moisturizing it.Overall, I'm not a big fan of chemical tans or tanning salons. No matter how you get your tan, though, this works as well as other types of moisturizing lotion for your face, and it will prevent peeling and flaking. Does it work better than other lotions? I'm skeptical about that. But it should help you to keep your tan longer than if you skip moisturizing altogether.

This Step 3 Post–Tan Face Lotion can be used as a product to extend a spray tan or as a gradual face tanner. I am using it as a gradual daily tanner and I absolutely love it. My facial skin is sensitive to self tanners in general and I can get hives, probably because of the drying properties of self tanners. Not with this one because it contains many of the same skin hydrators you would expect from a face moisturizer – aloe, squalane, olive oil, Vitamin E and glycerin. While it does not contain SPF, it does have antioxidants like vitamin C and citric acid to fight free radicals.This is a creamy white lotion that is unscented and absorbs readily. I apply it after my vitamin C serum and before my SPF. I use it on both face and neck. The result is a natural looking tan, neither yellow or orange, just a light natural bronze. It is hydrating and non-irritating for me. Because I use retinol at night, this is an excellent product for me to use in the a.m. every day to maintain color after that exfoliation from retinoids. I can see where this lotion would be very effective to maintain facial color from a spray tan as well.Five stars from me because of its performance as both a gradual self tanner as well as a daily facial treatment. Highly recommend for anyone who wants just a touch of bronze for their sensitive skin.

I have been using this as a gradual face tanner. The reason I like a slightly tanned look is that it will tend to hide the variances in complexion, giving a more uniform look.It says it contains Vitamin C&E which is a nice bonus as my face moisturizer also contains Vitamin C, but not E.
