Is this product ready to use

Yes. I used it for lotion bars. I melted it and ran through a cloth but wasn't necessary. Very nice product.

Dear Seller, has this product been altered with plant pigment or something else to make it yellow? Does it stain skin or clothing?

I loved this product, I used it to create homemade lotion. I had no issues with staining skin or cloths. I don't believe there were any additives. I try to stay away from that.

Can this be used as a soap base?

I don't know but, this Shea has an unusual odor.
