Good value product, tough and resilient. Not enough time to yet fully assess its durability

not gaffer tape…
it’s not really gaffer tape. it’s cheap fabric tape with awful adhesive properties. compared with actual gaffer tape, it’s got a hold strength of 1/10, it tears badly leaving stringy bits everywhere. if you want tape that will actually hold, i’d go for brand-name stuff like 3m. i regret not spending the extra on better quality stuff.

This is Duct Tape not Gaffer Tape. The two key differences between these tapes have to do with the tape's backing/carrier and adhesive. Gaffers tape is a vinyl-coated cloth tape with a matte finish, so it doesn't reflect light. By contrast, duct tape is polyethylene-coated cloth, which makes it shinier. This product is later.
