I like the hexagonal rods, believe that will avoid bending. And I like the well tapered point. I was expecting a lighter, narrower gauge, but robust is better... my need is for car camping. Addendum: I tried these stakes and liked them. Their sturdiness and ability to hold in wet soil more than compensates for the slight weight penalty over my other stakes. They clean up easily, pack small, fit readily through grommet holes to ground, and pin in without bending by foot pressure (I don’t like the noise of hammering, and a metal peen can damage aluminium. Large hook at top is helpful in retrieval: twist to break the grip and pull stake with an inserted finger. The sharp points concern me in packing, so I take care to shield them from fabric.

Bought these to secure Christmas decorations in my lawn. The ones that came with the decorations were too small and thin and the wind kept knocking them down. I purchased these and it didn't happen a single time after that. Definitely worth it for the money and now I have extra pegs for camping!

I just got some in but immediately put to use for some yard decorations that were being tossed around by wind and the cheap stakes they came with were no good. These made great replacements. For being as lightweight as they are, they seem very sturdy. I was able to push down in some hard packed dirt using my foot and they did not bend like a lot of the cheaper builds do. Very impressed. Will purchase more for camping.

I purchased these tent stakes as part of a simple anchor system for my portable solar panels, where I needed a reliable way to secure the guylines to the ground. I like these because they’re made of aluminum, so they’re lightweight and won’t rust. The smaller diameter also makes them easy to insert into the ground without needing a mallet, which makes setup quick and simple. One thing to keep in mind is to angle them when driving them into the ground for better holding strength. I went with the uncoated version, but if I were to repurchase I would consider the painted red option for better visibility as a safety measure. Pros: Lightweight and easy to carry Aluminum construction (won’t rust) Easy to install without tools Holds well when angled properly Cons: Uncoated version can be harder to see on the ground Bottom line: These worked well for my setup and did exactly what I needed. I would recommend and would repurchase.

Bend real easy. Not good for camping in AZ. Will work well in a more moist environment.

I was pleasantly surprised at the thickness of these spikes. The images are a bit deceptive and for the $10 price tag I was fully expecting the same flimsy kind that came with my tent. These are not that at all and I am not complaining at all. The spiked end makes them really easy to push into packed dirt as easily as loose soil despite the thickness and they don't bend instantly when hitting rocks which is great. Even in high winds my tent stays secured. As an added bonus, if you are like me and forget things when packing, the hook end makes a great allen key for gear that requires a large one.

Nice pegs for what I needed. Held down my tent without any problems. There thicker then normal tent pegs which helps if you’re in a windy spot. I did bend one when I was pounding it into the ground (must have hit a rock or something) but I was able to bend it back to usable without breaking it, and it still works like it never happened. I bought the smaller pack to try out, and I’ll be picking up another pack for my other stuff.
