YAMAKATO ≈17x23.5" Generator Gas Tank for Champion 5500 6250 6500 6875 7000

Its not the the right tank for my old generator but its really easy to retro fit to keep you old stuff running.

Perfect fit for my Champion 9000w generator. It Included new mounting grommets that worked with my original mounting bolts. New petcock and hose seem to be of good initial quality. It’s 1 gallon larger than my original tank but still fit without any issue so I’m pleased about that.

My old tank was full of rust and metal debris. This replacement tank saved my generator and fit perfectly. I checked model number against the list on the add and made sure this was the one

Didn’t fit exactly on my older generator but I knew it wouldn’t it’s the closest I could find ? But very happy with this unit , It’s heavy and made very well it’s not a cheap tank , Comes with a built in gauge and a bottom shut off valve also a heavy duty fill cap.

Good tank. Shipped as expected

This was a perfect fit for my Champion Power 7,500 watt generator. See pictures. I did need to get 4 longer bolts to mount it as the sleeves in the rubber bushings were longer on the new tank. Also, the new tank gas line fitting is an outie and the old one was an innie so I needed an adapter but no big deal. Pretty upset the original tank rusted through after only about 6 years and I always used (what was supposed to be) non-ethanol gas and fuel stabilizer. As you can see in the pictures, the old fuel tank had blistered on top and rusted a hole/crack in the bottom. So much rust in the old tank it was rattling around in there when I shook the tank! I did coat the interior of the tank with the product in the picture. Any good fuel tank coating material should work. Easy to do, just pour it in and tip the tank all around to thoroughly coat the bottom of the tank and the sides and top. Then let it dry for a day or two before filling. This SHOULD prevent the rust issue from happening again. Took about 2 hours including the trip to the hardware store for fitting and bolts. Looks good and the new tank has a gas gauge and it’s coated now so I’m calling it an upgrade.

Task was a perfect fit and looked perfect EXCEPT that the 2 corner flanges on 1 end of the tank were badly bent. This made it hard to get the screws in and mount the tank properly, but i eventually got everything into place. I only filled out below the half way mark but it seems to be holding so far.

Love this, Easley installation.

Great product , exactly what I needed.

prefect fit
