Can i use this in plastic pushfit heating system

My heating system has plastic tubing in it and I have had no problems.

Can this be used with MC1 already in the system or should that be drained out first.

I would advise that you drain down the system, add Mc3 cleaner and flush the system, drain down again and add new MC1 protector then fill system back up.

once put in how long do you need your heating running for ? ie hours ?? days weeks

My plumber friend told me that you can leave it in for about 4 weeks to make sure it has properly circulated around the heating system. He also suggested using a wooden mallet or rubber hammer to hammer any cold areas on the radiators to remove any sludge that may have stuck there.

Can I just pour this into the rad tank in loft or into magnaclean?

Hi Vinoir Yes, in a gravity fed system you would want to put this into the header tank in the loft space. Please make sure you pour this into the correct tank as it cannot be mixed with drinking water. If it’s a pressurised system you will not have a header tank and in this case I would use the filter.
