Finally found good outmeal
I had a love/hate relationship with oatmeal because it started giving me digestive discomfort, which I eventually learned is because oats are cross-contaminated with wheat unless you buy gluten-free. I eventually found gluten-free oats, only to find out that "old-fashioned" and "steel-cut" oats contain hardly any fiber, it's all empty carbs and explains why oatmeal didn't hold me until lunch time. That's why I bought these steel-cut oats. Bonus that they're organic. My only complaint is the cooking instructions, which don't say to cover the pot, so the first batch came out kind of hard and crunchy. Since then I cover the pan and cook for 20 minutes and it turns out so creamy.
