Does it have variable speed?

No, the FWD and REV power button is not variable. However, it does have a High and Low gear speed selector on the top of the unit.

Is the pivoting handle lockable in straight position?

Depends on the definition of "locking". It snaps into position and stays there pretty well, but there is no switch that makes it unable to pivot. There is a locking switch that prevents the tool from operating, however.

What size bits can i use? I have one but it didn't come with any bits
