I ordered the ship for a gift and two of the decorative silver pieces were off is this normal or did it break in shipping?

It broke in shipping which seems to be the standard. The pieces are glued on anyway so what I ended up doing was googling a picture of the ship and using some gel glue to put it back and it looks amazing.

How do you attach the shuttle?

It does not dock with or attach to the ship. It's set up in flight mode with its wings extended. It has it's own thin (.75mm or so) grey wire stand with a squared loop at the bottom that will sit on the wing. The shuttle sits on a "U" shaped bend on the top of the stand. The stand is about 3cm tall. The second shuttle is docked with its wings folded and is not removable. Overall it is a really nice model and well worth the price. The only addition I would have liked would have been a docked shuttle to fit into the empty bay.

Does it really weigh 32 pounds?

No, its about 6 inches long and weighs about a pound.

Does this come with any documentation / paperwork, or is it just a model with no accompaning information or certificates?

Nothing came with this one. The $300 version of Serenity comes with a certificate of authenticity . Both are very nice.
