Catches mosquitoes with the proper attractant. I have had this out since spring and changed the bait every month and it has made a noticeable impact on the mosquito population. Even my neighbors have pointed out how much nicer its been outside this summer. Does not eliminate all of them but now i only see a handful of them instead of literal swarms. One downside is the trap door on the bottom tends to get stuck and it can be difficult to empty it out if you have a lot of bugs in it. I also feel bad because it caught a ton of moths and I don’t really want to harm them. I wish there was a way to avoid that collateral damage.

This version of the DynaTrap works much better than the first version. Don't depend on it for mosquitos but it takes care of the other flying objects outside.

This is my forth dynatrap. Second with this type of light. I had read that it was not as efficient, But my biggest problem with the other long bulbs was getting them in and out. This one works well is simple to empty.And I highly recommend it.

I am sure this will catch many critters, but the power cord is shorter than on my old DynaTrap, and I have to use a waterproof extension cord.

Pro's: Pretty purple light, catches moths Con's: I have used this for over a month and have moved it throughout my small yard. I cannot tell if it has actually caught any mosquitos, but I can tell you that it has done little to mitigate my mosquito problem. In addition, I also used the Dynatrap lure packets.

This thing works great ! doesn't make noise, has caught an extreme amount of no seeums and moths, definitely worth the cost !

I've been using it for a little over 2 months now. The thing is about half full of insects. Mosquito count locally is probably 5-10% of what it used to be judging by how often I get bitten. I may get another for the opposite side of the house next season.

Works really well. Catches black-flies which are a pain here in Maine in the spring. It traps moths as well, probably more than anything, which has eliminated caterpillars in our trees. Especially the brown- tail moth whose caterpillar releases hairs that cause poison ivy like irritation.
