You definitely get a lot of good product at this price point - highly recommend
I own a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT with factory radio, which has UConnect but no CarPlay or Android Auto. I've replaced radio head units on my other vehicles so I'm not afraid to do it but I wanted a cheaper option for getting CarPlay in the van. A quick search on the topic led to these type of devices and the LAMTTO product stood out as a great option, good screen size, good reviews, and low price point. Sol gave it a shot. PROS: It is very easy to unpack and setup. Both of the provided mounting options - suction cup and surface mount - are great. I really like that the little bracket that attaches to the screen uses a standard 7mm ball, so really any mount that takes a 7mm ball will work for you. Connecting CarPlay, AirPlay, and both the Android options worked well. You should read the short user's guide that comes with the device but the on-screen directions on how to connect your phone/device for CarPlay, etc. are easy to follow and worked every time right away. The device starts up quickly, though you do need to give it 10-20 seconds for it to initialize Bluetooth before you connect your phone/device to it. You can get output from the device from its internal speaker (acceptable quality), Bluetooth to your car's radio (if it has Bluetooth) or a Bluetooth speaker, on an FM channel, or through an aux cable (that's included). Everything they describe about this product works very well. The dashcam footage looks great and is high quality. (I didn't hook up the backup camera so I can't speak to that aspect.) Cons: With the default firmware load that came with mine, when you unpower the device it loses/"forgets" the time you've set so it resets every time you turn the device off. Not a big deal from the CarPlay perspective but it affects the filenames of your dashcam recordings or photos. You can resolve this, though, by doing a firmware upgrade. It's mentioned in the users guide but to say it here too, you just need to email their support email address and ask if there's a firmware update for your device. Their support team is very responsive and provide great directions on how to do it. It was very easy and worked perfectly (and the issue is indeed fixed). The only other con I can come up with, and it might be true for all devices like this, is that you can't "pinch" zoom on the screen. You can drag things around on the screen no problem, but pinching motions aren't recognized so you need to find and use the + or - magnifying glass in some apps in order to zoom in/out. The pros far outweigh the cons, especially at the price point it's being sold at. If you want CarPlay or Android Auto without replacing your car radio, this is a great option for you.

A year later and still a great device, support is awesome.
Purchased and installed in Jul 24. Everything worked as described. Had no issuesconnecting and using it with Android Auto on Pixel 7 phone in a Ram truck. The layout is easy to navigate and the settings were simple to configure, very intuitive. Mounting was simple and straight forward. The front camera works great and has good resolution. I also used the included rear camera for a camera on the back of my attached trailer. This was a huge safety benefit as I can see traffic behind the trailer at all times. It only requires a camera extension cable which was easily purchased on Amazon. Yes, occasionally the Bluetooth would disconnect randomly but then quickly reconnect. No different than most phones and any Bluetooth system. This happened very rarely and I would not call it a defect. The 12v adapter may lose power occasionally if not locked in solidly but that is more of a car issue. I switched from the included adapter to a smaller USB-C 5V 3A plug to prevent this and that has not happened again. I also have had it cycle power randomly while driving even though the plug did not lose power. The unit completely shuts down and reboots as if I cycled the power switch. I thoght it was the power plug but it continued to happen with other cables and plugs and even in other cars. LAMTTO just recently reached out asking if I was pleased and I replied I was even with the random power cycling. It's done it since new and I never complained. They said that was unfortunate and offered some TS steps. It still randomly occured so they decidided to send me a new unit. I did not even ask for it but was very grateful and received a new unit that has not shut off yet and seems to stay connected via Bluetooth much better. Overall the unit is easily a 4 star unit but because of the outstanding support, I will give it a full 5 stars. I recommended it to my son who has installed one in a Nissan Xterra using Apple Carplay and his has functioned flawlessly for months now.

First Day Install Review ( my favorite features )
Hey Guys I looked far and long researching for the CarPlay I wanted. Picking between this Lammto 9.26 Rc14xb the other Lammto 7 inch and the Carpuride I was worried if it would meet my expectations and it did, I wanted to give a quick review answering the questions I had that weren’t answered. So first off, this is the latest model I believe, I wanted to high quality screen as well as backdrop. The background is changeable however. I wanted the screen to be able to be full screen for music, Nav, and camera, which they do as shown in video, not just the split screen, and I also wanted to make sure the cords were long enough to fit for a full size Van. The display is not as fast as my iphone 14 obviously but it’s pretty quick and overall a great CarPlay for the price, I put this in a 2002 Astro work van and it looks great. Not sure if I can plug, but I do plan on doing an install video of how I wired it through the back side door and connected to tailight reverse pretty seamlessly with no wires showing, on an old Chevy it was something I couldn’t find a tutorial for. I’m down to answer any questions Insta - troptrev

A Versatile Must-Have for Any Driver: Wireless Carplay & Android Auto with 4K Dash Cam Review
I recently upgraded my car's tech with the Wireless Carplay & Android Auto system that includes a 4K Dash Cam, and I'm genuinely impressed! One of the standout features is its large screen, which offers excellent visibility and touch control, making it easier to navigate through apps and settings while driving. The installation process was surprisingly easy. It didn’t take long to get it set up and running, which is a huge plus for those who aren't very tech-savvy. The unit also doubles as a 4K dash cam, recording crisp, clear videos that are helpful for capturing on-road incidents, providing an added layer of security. While this system supports a rear camera setup, I didn't use it in that capacity. However, it's nice to know that the feature is there should I choose to expand its functionality in the future. Connectivity is another strong point—connecting to my car stereo was seamless. You can either use an auxiliary cable or opt for the FM transmitter to play audio through an empty FM station, which worked perfectly without any interference or loss in sound quality. Overall, I really like this device. It effectively combines essential driving tech features into one compact unit, making it an excellent investment for anyone looking to enhance their driving experience. Whether you’re looking to streamline your navigation, enjoy seamless music streaming, or ensure you have high-quality dash cam footage, this device covers all those bases.

2 years and still going strong
I have been using this for almost 2 years now and it still works as well as it did the day I bought it. I have a 2012 Ford F150 and while it does technically have bluetooth, GPS, etc. I really wanted to get some sort of Carplay setup mounted inside. I also had been looking at dashcams because I felt like I needed that peace of mind just in case something happens. This seemed like it would solve both problems so I jumped on it. Installation is pretty simple if you're looking at a standard setup. You get a couple of options for powering the device, a couple for mounting it in your car, and several for routing audio. I tested all of the audio methods and decided to use an auxiliary hookup, mainly because my truck wouldn't remember the last input used and always defaulted to the line-in input for some reason. But also because the audio quality seemed best that way. For mounting I used the windshield suction mount for about a year or so. What I will say is that the Texas sun and heat absolutely killed that over time. Some of the adhesive melted and on the hottest days the mount had trouble staying attached to the windshield. I was surprised it lasted as long as it did. I eventually switched over to the standard dash mount and actually like it much better. So I'm glad it came with both options. Powering the unit is easy but unfortunately all of the outlets inside my truck stay powered even while the ignition is off and I didn't want to drain the battery. I was tired of manually plugging and unplugging it each time so I bought a 12V adapter, wired it to a mini fuse connector, and connected it directly to an accessory slot in my truck's fuse box. Now the unit turns on and off when my radio does, which is perfect! I added a 256 GB SD Card and it worked great. Video quality is good, even in low light, and it saves recordings when it detects a jolt or when I tell it to. I haven't really needed to use any dashcam footage yet (and hopefully won't need to) but it's so comforting to know that it's there and recording just in case. The rear camera in my truck recently went out so I've been using the rear camera that's connected to the unit and it works almost as well in that regard. I took the time to hide the wires as best as I could and the unit almost looks like it came factory with the truck. While I feel like improvements could definitely be made, my expectations were definitely exceeded and this has been one of the few products I've bought on Amazon that has worked better than expected without many issues at all. And support was super helpful the couple of times I sent them an email. If this thing ever bites the dust, I will definitely purchase from this company again.
