History of the town of Lexington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, from its first settlement to 1868 Paperback

Not only does this book have a large genealogical section but the main offering is history of how the town began. I have gotten reacquainted w/the events leading up to the Rev. War in a new way. The book is fairly detailed about the life in the early days 1600's as the settlers established churches, town governments and made a life for their families. It is helpful to me for my research as it is so much more than names & dates. The details included here have certainly added to my knowledge of these families. And naturally gives me more ideas for further "digging" as I go along. I expect I will be using this as a "go to" resource for a long while.

The book is in great shape and it was exactly what I was looking for - very nice experience!
