Limited surface use
Downloaded software and driver from Aula and mouse functions well on dark soft mouse pad. Doesn't work on glass mouse pad though. Very jerky and unresponsive .My other mouse works great on a dimpled glass pad. Luckily the mouse is for a friend who uses a soft dark pad.Update: Mouse works great with my friend's Lenovo work laptop and normal mouse pad. Seller is very responsive. They contacted me after my review offering help and a refund. Neither was needed since the mouse is functioning perfectly for the purpose it was purchased.

Medium-Large PC Mouse with Lights
As a regular PC mouse, it works OK. It is slightly over medium size. The buttons work like they should. The plastic feels like those that will get tacky in about a couple of years.I am taking a star off because the software that would make the buttons programmable cannot be easily downloaded from the Aula website. And you would not have known about the software because the instructions regarding that are almost non-existent. Eventually if you have a family member or buddy who knows a lot about computers, you might be able to get the software downloaded and then installed.

Outstanding gaming mouse for gamers on a budget! Software is excellent too
I own the very popular Logitech G502 and I recently reviewed the Reddragon M813 a less expensive version of the G502. Both are excellent gaming mice, but I have small hands and though the M813 is quite a bit wider than the G502, I found it wasn't uncomfortable to use in extended sessions and I liked it as well.Still, when I saw the AULA F815 on Amazon, I had to try it. (I have included a picture of the AULA F815 with the Redragon M813 on the left and the Logitech G502 on the right.) I really liked the shape of this mouse, not too long and not too wide, and it seems like it was designed with my hand in mind. It comes with a quality braided cable at 1.5M just slightly shorter than the other two more expensive mice. It also comes with a nice thumb rest and 13 different RGB backlit light modes plus OFF. One of them is simply a solid color which I prefer. It comes in just a small plain brown box inside a cushioned pouch with a small manual. Out of the box there are 6 different DPI settings you can use, 1200, 2400, 3600, 4800, 7200 and 12800. (It doesn't go as high as 25600 as on the Logitech G502, but the top DPI at 12800 should be more than than enough for serious gamers.) It also comes with 6 macros you can use with the various buttons, and after seeing a picture of the software in the listing, I was eager to download it and try it out. Unfortunately, after downloading and unzipping the software, Windows said the file was corrupted and it would not install. I contacted Aula support, and to their credit, they got back to me within an hour!UPDATE 3/18/24 AULA support has now gotten back to me just a few days following my email to them and my review first posting, and they have updated their F815 software to where it now works, so I am updating my review.I am not only very impressed with their support, I can now say I am also very impressed with their software. Not just "All Buttons Ready For Keybinding" and "Define your own 6 mouse buttons for gaming/working" as they say in the picture of the software. You have 4 profiles you can set up (Office, Game I, Game II and Media) and you can tweak just about everything. Mouse Sensitivity, Scroll Speed and Double Click Speed can also be adjusted. If you don't like the 6 preset DPI settings, you can have fewer, and you can also set them anywhere between 200 (for grandmas?) and 12800. You can also change the colors for each preset if you don't like the default colors. You also have your choice of 4 polling rates for each preset, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz or 1000 Hz. I also can finally see the names for the 13 various light modes. Star Trek?I'm barely touching on all the software has to offer, but of the three gaming mice I now own, this is by far the easiest and most intuitive software to use. They really did an excellent job. I didn't have a manual for it, but it was easy to figure out unlike the god awful Logitech GHub software. It also didn't have teeny tiny print like the Redragon software.I'm now itching to try this mouse out on some FPS shooters on my PC. The price of the AULA F815 was already outstanding to begin with, and now that AULA support and their engineers have come through, and there is excellent software to go along with the mouse, there is no way I can give this mouse anything but 5 stars. Highly recommended. I hope you found this review helpful.

Great mouse!
Really like the asymmetric design of the mouse, the mouse wheel has good feedback to it and the side buttons are nicely placed. The DPI is great and the presets it has are average, but they work for almost all applications and people. The RGB is a bit subtle, but if you like the minimalistic look this mouse might work for you. Only negative is that it does not come with any configuration software so what you see is what you get.
