Lightlark: Collector’s Edition (The Lightlark Saga Book 1) (Volume 1)

First off, I read this whole series before reviewing so immediately yes!!! I will always say Lightlark series is one of my all time top tier recommendations!!! The FMC has a love triangle that is done beautifully! I will say I am Team Grim all day every day. Oro is a great character as well! Grim has my heart though! This has trails, banter, love triangles, broody morally grey MMC (yes please) and the plot twists!!! Girl stop!!! So good! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is why Alex Aster will always be an instant add to cart for me in all the editions! (Audiobooks are top tier as a cherry on top) Bravo 👏🏻 🤌🏻🥰 Lightlark is always one of my top recommended books of all time… And this beautiful edition is one of my favorite book trophies on my shelf!! this is always a five star read for me!!! Team Grim lol …Alex Aster is an instant purchase always for me!!

I own this version and the regular one and I must say this edition is gorgeous. I love the pictures on the inside and details on the box. I’m surprised by how much criticism this book has received, because I genuinely enjoyed it. Lightlark delivers a unique fantasy world with high stakes and a heroine whose struggles feel believable and human. Some reviews call Isla immature or too focused on her own powerlessness, but to me, that was part of what made her character compelling. She spent most of her life locked away, isolated from everyone else, of course she wouldn’t suddenly emerge fully confident or polished. It made sense that being surrounded by powerful, charismatic rulers would heighten her insecurities. I also appreciated the way the book balanced court intrigue, romance, and twists without feeling overwhelming. The pacing kept me turning pages, and the setting of the Centennial was creative and atmospheric. If you enjoy stories about reluctant leaders, impossible choices, and hidden magic, Lightlark is definitely worth picking up. I think sometimes readers expect every fantasy protagonist to be instantly empowered and decisive, but this story shows what it’s like to grow into your strength and to question whether you even want it.

I had heard and seen so many things about this book and at the time it never really grabbed my attention. When I saw this Limited Deluxe Edition on Prime Deals I figured why not, let’s see what this is all about. This edition was beautiful! The details on the binding, the sprayed page edges, and the color photos make it a beautiful shelf spotlight! I am so glad that I decided to give it a read! Aster created these mythical realms and characters that immerse you right away. Little by little you get to know Isla and snippets of the other rulers, as Isla works on breaking a centuries old curse. Weaved within the history of these characters and their people is the prophecy that was once foretold because of the curse.

Haven’t read yet, but the edition is visually gorgeous and feels very premium. The cover design alone makes it worth owning for collectors.

A beautiful edition of one of my favorite series, the sprayed edges are a wonderful detail including the crowns each of the ruler's wear, with the special chapter from Grim's POV, (although I recommend reading Night Bane for it to make sense first,) with a beautiful black and gold hardcover with lots of detail, and the wonderful official art of the characters in the back of the book, a fantastic read and a spectacular cover.

Lightlark has an incredible premise—it feels like The Hunger Games meets a high-stakes fantasy world. The concept of the Centennial and the deadly curses on each realm kept me hooked from the very first page. While the writing and world-building are definitely geared toward a younger YA audience and can be a bit simple at times, the pacing is lightning-fast. It is packed with classic tropes, romantic tension, and a wild string of plot twists in the final act that I didn't entirely see coming. If you are looking for a deep, complex epic fantasy, this might not be it. But if you want a fun, addictive, and quick read to pull you out of a slump, it's absolutely worth picking up!

Omg!!! What a beautiful book!!!! Very gorgeous book sleeve and over all a good buy. I find it cheaper to but from Amazon for books the actual brick and mortar stores unfortunately. I can't wait to read it!

El libro es preciosa y la historia si os gusa un buen romantasy merece una opo y encima con el arte de kalisami 🩷

Je commence par dire que je ne suis pas pour la commercialisation de diverses éditions juste pour faire du business mais j'en suis tout de même victime. Cependant, le livre est arrivé en très bon état. Le prix est correcte. Il y a un coffret, des fanarts, la mise en page est la même que celle du hardcover basique. Il y a un chapitre bonus, mais je pense qu'il est possible le trouver en ligne (je ne suis pas sûre que ce soit le même que celui de la romance édition de Barnes and Noble). Le matériel de la couverture peut faire penser un peu à du tissu mais je ne serais pas trop comment le décrire. J'ai beaucoup d'éditions collectors, mais je dois dire que celle-ci est très belle, une des plus belles que j'ai.

This collector’s edition is simply stunning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The design is gorgeous both inside and out, the silver of the protective cover works so well with the silky black texture of the cover, the golden crown, heart and sword captured in it and red painted edges from the book inside. I had waiting for a while to be able to get my hands on one of this enchanting editions of one of my favorite books to add to my collection and now that I got it, it didn’t disappoint at all, it arrived in perfect condition and was definitely worth the wait.

Lightlark was one of my first ventures into the romantasy genre, and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, it drew me in with its immersive world and compelling blend of romance and fantasy. The story kept me engaged throughout, and it set a strong standard for the genre—definitely not a disappointing introduction.
