The color is so vibrant and the taste is so good as well , however if u like ur matcha more on the bitter or strong side then this matcha maybe not the one but i personally like mine less bitter so this was 10/10 for me will definitely buy again

Since this was ceremonial grade, I opted to just froth it with a chasen. I don't use a sweetener so the matcha really has to shine.I have tried Heapwell matcha before where it is sold in a bag. Then I was impressed with how inexpensive Heapwell's matcha is considering the quality of it. With this version of Heapwell's in a tin it is no different. At today's price of 13.99 I am still blown away at how inexpensive this is for such a high quality matcha. I have literally tried dozens of matcha brands but continually am impressed when I try Heapwell's matcha. The color of this matcha is bright green which is indicative of really good matcha. The brightness comes from the fact that either it was shade grown but since this isn't organic it could also mean the use of fertilizers. The flavor profile has almost no bitterness. The matcha itself has a nice well rounded flavor profile with floral hints. Personally I prefer a little more astringency but the little amount it has is still quite nice. Overall this matcha is not just good for the price, it is actually really good matcha. If I ever run out of matcha, which will probably take a long time considering how much I have, this is the brand I would go back to not just for the cost but because it really is a great matcha.As with all matcha, make sure you don't heat the water over 175F as it can get bitter no matter what quality matcha you buy. For me, I personally take the temperature no higher than 160F to capture the full range of flavors.
