Easy to set up, work great
Used to keep track of elderly parents when they don't answer the phone, I know they are okay without driving to their house.

Not a 2pk
I took off three stars for this being not a two pack as described - there is one camera in here. I initially thought they'd sent the wrong one and so went through the conversations with the bot for 20-30 min, and waited a few more days while they sent a replacement item. It too is a single camera.Considering a large part of the reason I got this is for the two-pack, for it to not actually have two cameras immediately doubles the cost-per-item and drastically changes the value proposition. On opening the manual you're greeted with two QR codes. One is for the "latest" version of the manual and the other for the app. Both take you to the same page on the manufacturer's site, which is a dead link (see the screenshots and try scanning the codes yourselves from the other pictures). This is not a good sign, which I took another star off for.The setup and video quality are adequate - it's like doorbell cameras or cell phone cameras from several years ago. Serviceable in good light, bad in direct sun or backlighting, and not great in the dark. It does have an SD slot for storing video (though be sure you're checking the card periodically if you don't want to use the cloud storage function, as if the card dies you won't have anything but live video). I'd rate the video probably 3/5 - decent overall, but nothing special. For the price of a two pack it's about what I'd expect, but since this really only comes with one item it's not great.

HARD!
This was not an easy setup to put together. I would not waste my money on this. I do not recommend to anyone

It seems fine to me - Good video quality, no pairing issues. -1 star for MicroUSB
Some of the reviews on this item complain that this was advertised as a 2-pack. Other than the product image still having the Amazon smile "2 pack" logo in the top right corner still, I didn't see this listed as a 2-pack, so I'm evaluating this as a single camera that has a current price of $24.99. With that in mind, this is... OK.I didn't have any pairing or connection issues with the camera. I installed the app on an iPhone 12 Mini running the current version of iOS and everything connected without real issue. There was a forced account creation, but it supports federated login through Google and Apple. I used Apple and anonymized my email address and they didn't complain about it.Image quality seems good. No complaints there.Build quality is good too. Assembled with screws, no soldered wires, no glue, no welded plastic. I was able to tear it down to play around inside it in just a few seconds. If you're curious, the photos show its innards. The device uses MicroUSB, and includes a USB-A power adapter that's rated for 5 volts at 1 amp, or 5 watts total. Pretty low power for a wifi camera, I think? I docked it a point for MicroUSB - It's 2024, it's time to standardize on USB-C.The included power adapter seems... OK? These are a solved problem by now of course. Whatever, I threw it away. I also threw away the 3 foot long junk-grade USB-A to MicroUSB cable. I don't think it even has data wires on it, just power, but I didn't bother checking. The camera is fine. You can get better for cheaper, but not much cheaper.

Amazing light weight and affordable camera
The Merkury Smart Indoor Camera is a modern, affordable camera for indoor use. I wanted something to monitor my pets when I am away and also be able to talk to them and hear them. This small device is portable and does not need to be mounted. You can easily just leave it on the floor or on a table/counter. I wanted mine mounted so I have the same view and not chance the camera moving out of place like happens sometimes with a trail camera. The camera is powered by a cord which can be connected through the provided USB or attached to a provided power cube and plugged into the wall. I have it plugged into the wall. However, if you decide to take it with you camping you can just run the USB cord to a battery pack. Again, this is for indoor use. I've attached a few photos. The instruction manual was very good except for two missing directions - how to insert the SD card and how to mount the item with the provided screws/anchors. I got the device powered up and on the network quickly. It started working immediately. Then I thought maybe I would add an SD card. There is an image on the back side of the camera showing how to insert the SD card but it isn't clear to me and actually looked backwards. So I stuffed it in. And it fell into the interior of the camera, rattling around. So I took the camera apart and fixed the memory card. I've attached a photo of the interior of the camera. Once it was apart I could see how easy it was to insert the memory card (not provided by the way). I won't be looking to remove it any time soon. You have the option of a subscription plan but I don't need that and probably don't need the SD card either. I just want to see the interior of the apartment for the pets. I like that I get a notification on my phone (and watch) so I am alerted to activity. You can turn that off and I probably will for now, just having the alerts notify me of activity when I am away and not at home. Since most people install security cameras on the ceiling or high on the walls I think a trespasser would be hard pressed to find mine near the floor. It's not the first thing you see but not meant as a security device. One other reason it can't be mounted very high is that the cord is short. You can't go to far beyond the electrical outlet. That's a bit inconvenient. Lastly, I couldn't figure out how to mount the screws since I wasn't sure if they would line up. The holes for mounting are behind the camera. Rather than guess, I just found some clear mounting squares and super glue to attach the camera to the wall. My solution was a bit more permanent than just a couple of nails. It's staying in place and I think I will put some cable anchors to hold the cord in place on the wall. The camera is functional and inexpensive. The camera lens captures the entire width of the room with clear resolution. I have my setting to capture a photo and a video. The audio is good and you can communicate through the phone app. So if the dog or cat are up to mischief I can warn them audibly to behave. Maybe they will even listen. I am very pleased with this device and it is a fraction of the cost I'd expect to pay. Meaning I probably can afford to get more of these for other rooms and the car (when camping). Great gift idea. Just don't overthink and make it more complicated like I did. Strongly recommend.

Poor quality
Camera kept saying updating. I couldn’t delete it. Notified manufacturer and I kept getting the run around. Poor customer service from the manufacture. I gave them every opportunity to address the issues and they failed.
