Our Betta loves it.. my daughter likes it and it looks nice..so that's all that really matters. My daughter wanted a fish so we did our homework and bought all the necessary equipment our betta would need and my daughter picked out this to put in the tank. When I first put him in the new aquarium he didn't come out of the barrel for like a whole day only to eat and then went back in like he was scared we'd take him out.. He's gotten a lot more comfortable now but I still see him swimming in and out of the barrel all the time making me think he loves it.. and it seems to be the prefect size for him..It shipped on time and was packaged nicely..all in all I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I have a betta recovering from fin rot. I traded out all the plastic plants for silk plants and I used a nail drill to buff out any sharp edges on this barrel, rinsed the dust off in tap water and submerged in a salt water bath before adding it to the tank. I think if you have a betta or any fish that can be harmed by sharp edges, drilling or buffing out any rough spots will be ideal with this. Otherwise it’s pretty large and good quality for our 2 gallon tank.
