Very Impressed
We just got back from camping. It was about 90 degrees, full sun, no shade and high wind gusts. For the first time ever while tent camping i was able to sleep in until about 10 am. The tent was dark (enough) and to my surprise moderately cool inside despite being in direct sunlight. I was really impressed! The second night we found the importance of steaking the cover to the ground (yes, it does in fact come with that green cover as advertised). The tent had partially collapsed when the high winds hit it but once steaked, it performed well. The tent was quick and easy to put up/take down and it comes with a few thoughtful features like a shoe mat for the front door, a removable room divider in the middle and a little zipper hole in the corner to run an extension cord inside if you like bringing power to your campsite. The one thing i think could have been made better is the swinging door. It is truly an awesome feature but there are only 2 little tabs of velcro that you have to carefully line up if you want it to stay shut in the wind - magnets might have worked much better. You can also choose to zip it shut which eventually we did. I still highly recommend this tent - it is the best one I've owned to date.

Great family tent
Family of 6 and we fit everyone in with ease. I am super impressed with how easy it is to set up. I can set it up and take it down all alone, its tricky at 1 or 2 points but doable. The black out is pretty cool, I was skeptical when I bought it but if you put the tent under the shade of tree, its stays pretty dang dark in the tent. Its not the lightest tent by any means but manageable for 1 person. I never gave it a chance to face the weather, I sprayed it with sealer the day I got it so I can't review that aspect. Overall we love the tent. The only issue was the middle divider, it broke the first day and is fairly pointless anyway.

Seams came undone after routine use === poorly built / bad sewing seams
Updated Review.. Unpacked tent from storage and set up tent.. Woke up this morning with the seams coming undone due to sewing defect... Never had a Coleman tent so poorly built.. It happened in two locations. The gaps are huge at the top seams that large birgs could fly through and insects can easily fly in. Tent is barly usaable and not enjoyable. Previous Review; Could be a great tent but lacks certain refinement Cons: 1. Instructions are terrible.. I guess it must be made in China since it seems like the typical lack of documentation for products that come out of there... They expect you to be able to know what the incomplete pictures mean without telling you how to assemble it.. I had to figure that out and it took a little while because the documentation was incomplete.. They get a 1 star for that or at best 2 stars.. I had to figure out how to do the rain flap after it started raining and it was not fun let me tell you... Also, (perhaps this is individual seller related), one of the bottom buckles was busted where you peg the legs down with stakes... It came like that out of box as if it was used... 2. the floor is too thin and it is going to get holes in it.. I know because I had their 6 person tent (which is really a cramped 1 person tent, unless you are a toddler) and it developed all kinds of holes on the floor.. This is the same thickness... I would rather pay more for a quality floor because ants are horrible and the holes on the floor are very hard to repair... and if it rains they you get flooded.. .So once you have holes in the floor it becomes a 2 star are even 1 star tent.. Out of the box I give it 3 stars... If they just fixed these two things it would be worthy of higher ratings.. .Where people give it 5 stars is beyond me --- they just except low quality... It won't be durable in the long run... 3. drips when it rains.. I got tagged a few times in my bed after it moderately rained.. It's not weather proof --- it was adequate but if it rained heavily I assume I would have to throw more layers of tarps / rain fly's to stop the rain... 4.. The tent sages where the door's are on each end. It has two doors.. Which will make it so rain builds up (potentially causing leak problems as others have stated) and makes it less stable in wind.. 5. Are they joking 10 person tent? You would go insane in this with 10 people unless they were little tiny kids.... It can do 4 people with beds in each corner but if you went above that it would get uncomfortable and really it would only be good for 2 people... If you had more than 3 people you'll want more than one of these.. It's big but realistically you need space in-between each bed --- otherwise you'll be sleeping like a pack of dogs.. Pros --- 1. Dark room technology is very awesome and well done.. It gets a star for that. It makes it so you can sleep in and also not be seen while making it cooler inside during summer... 2. The ceiling is awesome and like a cathedral within a tent.. If it is not raining you can look up at the sky and enjoy the outdoors.. It is well vented... 3. It is relatively easy to put up.. although since the documentation didn't correctly explain how the telescopic legs worked I had to figure that out.. It's a two move process.. It should state that in the instructions.. 4. Place to put a light and the doors are okay. The windows are cool as well.. Because of flaws, it gets 3 stars.. Would have to fix the major design flaws to get 4 or 5 stars from me...

It's Alright
I bought the 10 person tent on a prime day deal and overall, it's been alright. Is it the lap of luxury when it comes to tents? Not really, but it's not bad either. It's big enough that we can fit a queen air mattress (sleeping my wife and I) next to a full air mattress (sleeping my 7 and 6 year olds) with a pack'n'play (sleeping my 2 year old) at the foot of the queen mattress and still have room for some gear in front of the full air mattress and a good sized space for the walk in at the door. Do note though that my setup for this will block the second (soft) door, but it leaves the hard door open with plenty of space to come in and a spot to change clothes in easily. In the future when my 2 year old outgrows a pack'n'play, I will modify the setup so that I am sleeping on my ZenBivy at the foot of the air mattresses and he is up in the beds w/ the rest of the family and when not sleeping, I can move my ZenBivy out of the way for more floor space. As far as weather resistance goes, it's pretty good. We had a camping trip where we got dumped on with rain for 16 hours and we only had a few small puddles form in the corners of the tents which isn't bad for a tent this size and shape and 16 hours of rain. Where this loses a star for the weather resistance is that the rainfly does not go over the top of the door and the slant of the tent makes it so when you open the door, all the water on the rainfly drops right into the door on the floor of the tent. We had to put a towel there to manage the water at the door for that reason. We also had another camp site where both nights we got slammed with some heavy winds and the tent did just fine with only the stakes (no guy lines) and our stuff in it. The tent is pretty spacious, but I wish it had more of the canopy design to get more headroom everywhere in the tent. I'm 6'3" and I can stand up in the middle, but still have to hunch at the edges. For the durability, it's decent. I've had this tent up and down about 10 times now with some trips + backyard camping and it's doing pretty well. Some of the blackout material is cracking in parts of the rainfly, so I doubt that will hold up to years of use, but it's still blocking water and what not, it's just letting a bit of light in. Setup is insanely easy; however, takedown does suck. It is hard to get the tent back down to the profile it needs to be to fit the bag. It's takes me some good effort with a lot of strategic wrapping of the fabric along with kneeling on it and having a second person help to zip it up. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It's a decent tent and fits the whole family pretty comfortably. It handled some crazy winds and a ton of rain just fine with no major issues other than the rainfly not protecting the door very well.

Withstood three nights of heavy rain
Several positive qualities. 1. We had pretty heavy rains and winds for three nights on our first camping trip with this tent and the only rain inside the tent was when my 6 year old daughter left the door unzipped. Other than this minor snag the inside of the tent was dry! We also had no issue when it came to the amount of winds that went along with the thunderstorms. 2. Lots of windows to keep air flowing - it was also super hot during our camping trip. 3. Plenty of space inside. I had a queen sized air mattress on one side and two of my children slept on the second side of the interior. There was plenty of room for my other two children - total of 5 sleeping bags would have easily fit along with our little camp table. I loved that I could stand up in the tent without issue (5’8”). 4. Easy to set up. As a single parent of 4 (11,7,6,2) I needed a tent I could set up quickly by myself. Set it up the first time in about 20 minutes making sure I followed the directions. Second set up cut that in half. It took me longer to pound the ground anchors than it did setting the tent up. 5. The interior blackout was a Godsend for my two year old. He easily took his nap when I closed the windows during the day - it was pitch dark inside then. 6. The D door was another big perk for me - my 6 and 7 year old were able to open and close the door without issue (except in the middle of the night). They have a tendency to be a bit rough on tent zipper doors and the D door helped immensely! Two down sides but not major issues. The tent is pretty heavy. I managed to carry it but would not want to carry it for any distance of more than a 50 feet at a time. Second it would have been nice to have side floor vents to help with air flow during the rain. We didn’t have an issue because the temp cooled during the night when the rain came through but I could see this as a possible issue if it had not.

Great family tent!
Did lots of research trying to find the best family tent for our family of 4 to go camping. I was nervous because my wife had never been tent camping before and insisted I buy a good tent to make a great experience. This tent has been awesome for the two trips we have taken so far. Here are some of my thoughts regarding cool features about this tent: - Size: we were able to fit 4 twin size air mattresses side by side in the tent (and that's it. That's from one edge of the tent to the other.) That left a good amount of space for our gear and our dog at the foot of the bed. Great for sleeping 4 people, probably good for 6. Definitely not 10 (unless they're all kids and really comfortable with each other). Height is nice. Great for me (at 6'1") to be able to stand up in the tent. - Darkness: LOVE the dark rest. It keeps the tent dark enough or us to be able to sleep in on a bright summer morning. Keeps it nice and cool too. - set-up: super easy. I was able to set it up by myself in about 5-10 minutes (with a helper, probably would be under 5 minutes). For a tent that size that is amazing. - weather: this one I was really worried about. We were lucky to have dry days both camping trips so I unfortunately can't comment on how waterproof it is. Did hold up to wind nicely and the re-enforcing strings it comes with are very helpful for this. Note that the tent comes with a rainfly and without it the roof of the tent is just mesh. - door: it is hinged (has a flexible pole inside the door to turn it into an actual "door" and not just a piece of fabric. Not sure initially how I would like this, but in hindsight, I LOVE it. Most of the time, you can keep the door "closed" but not zipped shut, allowing you to go in and out of the tent without leaving the tent door "open". Nice feature! - weight: it's heavy. I can carry it easily from the car to the tent-site but this is definitely NOT a backpacking tent. But then again, what "10-person tent" is? Coleman provides a nice bag for it (that allows for extra room after unpacking from the factory). In summary, so far I'm impressed with this tent. I'm hoping it can stand up to a rainstorm or two, but for car camping it's got everything we need. Love it.

Rain use? Plan for lots of prep work beforehand!
Anyone interested in this tent should watch YouTube videos on rain performance for this tent- best I found was from “Camping Guidance”.. water is an issue that I’ve been dealing with, mainly for where the floor is attached to the wall. Seam sealing was a pain in the ass, and just the bottom probably took me 1.5-2.5 hours. Tape did not stick to the blackout material, but it did to the tub, so I had to apply sealer carefully. It seems to have worked very well, with the downside being that the seam sealer is a lot like glue and so when it dried it touched the side of the tent and as it flexes it’s pulling apart some of the blackout material. Luckily that’s all inside, and doesn’t affect the waterproofing of the tent. Doesn’t look wonderful, but I guess I’m ok with it. Not sure what I could have done to avoid that, but I did move the tent once after 8 hours or so of drying and so probably shouldn’t have done that. Now that it’s mostly waterproof I’ve identified new problem areas. Near both doors there are issues. Without a vestibule or more of an awning when you open the doors water kind of gets dumped inside, if it’s actively raining. I may use a small tarp over the back door as it seems to leak. The pocket inside is wet, and seems unusable so far in the rain. I’ll try to waterproof it soon. More importantly, all of the spots for window tie backs seem to leak a lot. When it’s dry out again I’ll attempt to seam seal those, but I believe I’ll have to try to use the sealer on the exterior of the tent also for that. One more thing to mention… I have owned many tents (most somewhat expensive), and while I normally avoid Coleman, this tent is great in terms of ventilation/ lots of windows, high ceiling, large volume, and the blackout works well for me with little kids that still need naps (at least in theory, so far). And I love the door pole setup that allows the door to quickly open and close which is great for getting gear inside. I would have spent more on this tent for better quality, but the nicer brands don’t offer anything with these features. Let’s hope it works out with time. I’d give this 4 stars if they seam sealed or tape sealed that lower seam.

Great Coleman Customer support
We went camping recently, and this tent was easy to set up even though we set it up in the dark. We really like the tent, it is very spacious, love all the "windows" for airflow. As we were folding the tent we broke one of the joints (oops); we did not sleep much that night and were not thinking much lol . So I tried to search for the part to replace it and could not find it anywhere. I contacted Coleman support (I registered the tent first) and explained that I was looking for a part if they could please help me. Well, to my surprise, COLEMAN sent me a NEW TENT- now this is great support. I do not know why they could not send me the part but I am not complaining.
