Julia Donaldson X10 Books Collection Set

We saw 'Room on the Broom' on BBC i-player and my 3 year old loved it. When I found out that it is also available as a book, I bought this set. It was a great investment. My daughter could read all easy words at first and I would read the remaining words. But because there is so much repetition in the story, she started to read more and more of the parts herself until she could read the whole book alone. It proved to be a massive milestone in her reading because it improved her reading speed tremendously (since she know most of the sections by heart). However, ever since she learned to read this one book (Room on the Broom), her general reading speed has also significantly improved. So for me it has been a great investment.The other books in the bundle are also not bad. Some are better then others. The print and size is really nice, too.

Julia Donaldson's style of writing is something that appeals to children. My son likes very much this humorous stories with a lot of rhythm in them. After couple of reading he is able to repeat whole parts of them. And great colourful illustrations are icing on the top - they are able to gain focus of the kids. Books worth money spent on them.

Julia Donaldson is such a great storyteller. Her masterful use of rhyme is a real treat to read or have read to you. The children at school love her books and as an adult I love reading her books to children. Well worth purchasing, go for it!

Bets purchase yet! We have almost the full collection of the Julia Donaldson books and a few in this pack were what we needed to complete the collection. We did get a repeat of what of what we already had of course but there are plenty of children in the family that appreciated them ! Best books for before bedtime. Not too long, not too short and just the right amount of intertwining dialogue to make you’re little one want to pay attention to the story but the stories aren’t so exciting you will struggle to settle them after finishing the book. Takes about 10-15 mins to read one book and they are all amazing!

I ordered these for my 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy, both of whom love bedtime stories. Julia Donaldson has always been a firm favourite of mine, the illustrations are beautiful and very captivating for young and older eyes alike (my 8 year old son also enjoys sitting in and listening along).There are lots of different books to choose from and I recommend each and every one of them, each book is magical in it's own way.My children particularly like the fact that they're rhyming, especially my older son who due to having Asperger's, has been finding it quite difficult to read, these books have helped him immensely.This set comes in a clear, plastic, zip lock bag for storage - well worth every penny!

A fantastic find! I totally recommend to anyone even considering buying this pack of books. It will save you so much money! They're beautiful, original, they come in a lovely bag, perfect for a gift or just because! The only thing is that 3 of the titles were different and I totally don't mind, in fact I prefer these three to be honest! But if someone is buying the pack for the purpose of receiving specific books then just message the customer :) If it had been titles such as the gruffalo I'd have been upset! But honestly, super fast delivery, almost immediate replies from the seller so perfect communication, I'm so so happy, thank you thank you thank you!!!

The bag arrive damaged, but the seller used a sticker to cover up the hole on the bag. It seems suspicious, I wonder if they are really new book? Also couple of the book with poor printing quality

J'ai bien reçu les livres prévus dans le lot ainsi que le sac.Très beau lot, qui vaut le coup ! 10 livres pour 39 euros, le livre revient a moins de 4 euros !Seul bémol un des livres est corné, manque de chance c'est celui que j'avais déjà et que je vais donc offrir ou revendre mais il n'est pas impeccable...Les histoires sont chouettes, rigolotes, bien adaptées aux enfants. Permet de compléter la collection des livres des Julia donaldson, mon fils de 6 ans les adore, et depuis longtemps !

Scrivo questa recensione in italiano, per i miei connazionali che (come me) sono in cerca di qualche bel libricino in inglese per abituare i propri figli alla lingua.Prima meglio chiarire l'ovvio: Julia Donaldson è una garanzia. Le sue storie sono dolcissime, intelligenti, spiritose, e sempre magistralmente illustrate da abili artisti. Ogni storia è un piacere sia da ascoltare che da leggere e interpretare, impreziosita da quella metrica aggraziata che è propria della fonetica originale e che sfortunatamente si perde nell'adattamento italiano.Detto questo, veniamo allo specifico di questa collezione. Dato il prezzo (nel mio caso, ho pagato l'intero pacchetto meno di 25 euro), mi aspettavo che contenesse edizioni economiche e di scarsa qualità. fascicoli "da battaglia", insomma.Mi sbagliavo.Il pacchetto contiene dieci volumi di generose dimensioni, di buona fattura e grammatura, con immagini a tutto campo e un'ottima qualità di stampa. Le copertine flessibili sono anch'esse di buona qualità, e alcune si spingono a ospitare addirittura caratteri riflettenti e rilievi.Mai avrei pensato di avere tutto questo per... così poco. Forse perché qui in Italia siamo abituati a tutt'altra consuetudine, le letture per l'infanzia sono generalmente volumi venduti a caro prezzo.In definitiva, consiglio l'acquisto sia per l'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo che per l'indiscussa bontà del contenuto. Merita ogni centesimo.

Being from the UK originally, I was very aware of these books, and had the collection for my daughter when she was young, so when I moved to Canada, I was surprised my partner had not heard of this author. I bought the collection for his son and of course, he loves them too.So beautifully illustrated, these books are rhymes which allows me to create a momentum when reading them, very helpful to keep the attention of my step son who has neurodivergence. Delightful language used throughout to expand a child’s vocabulary, I love that both he and my own daughter ask what words mean.They really are a wonderful addition to the bedtime story catalogue, and that’s 100% for children and parents alike .. you won’t be disappointed.Final mention is the little book bag they came with… decorated colourfully… this is really useful to keep them all together.
