This stuff is the best! I give it to my fiv positive cat every day and it helps him so much. Side effects are all good, without out it he wasnt maintaing his weight or acting like his normal self...I can definitely tell a difference between him having it and when he doesn't. Also he takes it with no problem so it must taste good! It doesn't smell bad, I just mix it in with his wet food and he loves it!! Only thing is I used to get the same stuff from the vet for half the price so it's a liitle more expensive but it's definitely worth it!! Will continue buying!!

Purchased this as an alternative to the veterinarian prescribed liqui-tinic in hopes that our dog would find this more palatable, and it works. The doses are administered by mixing them into her canned food rather than going the syringe route. Whereas the liqui-tinic was off-putting and cut her eating down by a third to a half, with the Pet-Tinic she dives in to her meals like she used to and is back to more normal eating patterns: a huge relief because she is older and was too underweight. So from her point of view, the odor and taste of the Pet-Tinic seems fine. In fact, the odor enticed may be attractive to her, but that is something I would have to test to be sure. She certainly is eating well now, has considerably more energy and stamina, and she's no longer showing signs of discomfort after eating. The next round of lab test results will tell us how well this is working internally. It's easy to measure out and add to the food, and I add a little bit of olive oil along with it to keep everything moving smoothly, as both brands appear to contribute to constipation without the olive oil. FWIW, the odor, means of administration, and certainly the results work for the human, too.

My cat had developed anemia from fleas, and I thought I was going to lose him. After giving him a flea bath I began to administer the Pet-Tonic twice a day per the directions on the label. His rebound has been remarkable! He went from limp and lethargic 5 days ago to being well on his way to being his normal, happy, strong self! In my case, it's effectiveness was seen within the first 24 hours! His eyes brightened and his energy level improved significantly. After 36 hours, he was able to move on his own again, even being able to get onto his favorite high perch. At the 48 hour mark, he was able to take food on his own again without having to be hand fed. On day four he began drinking water on his own again and no longer needed to have his water given to him through a syringe. Pet-Tinic is easy to use; you give it twice a day (the recommended dosage formula is on the label per your animal's weight). I used a small 3 milliliter syringe to administer the medicine (for my cats weight he required 1 ml per dose). It has a pleasant smell, much like a strong beef broth. You can also mix it in with their wet cat food which I've tried and he took to that right away! I plan on administering Pet-Tinic on a daily basis as its health benefits,even for a animal in good health, is a proactive way to boost your pets nutritional needs. It's a good value for the money with good longevity - I expect the four ounce (120 ml) bottle to last for two months since he only takes 2 milliliters per day. I honestly can't say enough good things about this product! I will definitely be buying it again on a regular basis to ensure my cat's good health, and to help avoid a crisis like I had with him recently.

My two year old cat more than likely has lymphoma (long story) and she had stopped eating so for about 3 weeks I had to force feed her a few times a day until her appointment to see an Onchologist came around. They tested her blood and she was really anemic (among other things) so they gave her an enzyme that basically tricks the body into thinking whatever cancer has gone into remission and gave her an iron shot (they suggested keeping her over night for a blood transfusion, wasn't doing that) and by the time we got home she started eating on her own again. After about two days it seemed she was still showing signs of anemia in cats. When I searched for an Iron supplement this popped up. I've been giving her the recommended dose two times daily ever since, it's been about a month and half now, and she hasn't shown any signs of anemia since. This isn't going to cure her cancer, but it definitely seems to be working well for helping her iron levels stay normal, so for what I got it for it's working perfectly, just as hoped! I'm sure her weight gain and everything other than the anemia has to do with the meds she's on daily, but if you just need a supplement for a sick cat this is the perfect place to start! It's not "thick", it is a liquid and comes out easily.As far as "taste", My cat takes it right from the dropper and will lick the dropper as I put it in her mouth to to dispense it so she doesn't seem to mind the taste at all, but she's used to taking medications now so I don't know how other cats would handle it. The first pic I shared is her before her appointment when she wasn't eating, the last two are from within the past week.

I have been using this for over a year. I first started using it as an iron supplement for dog. My vet said it was ok to use. Since using it, my dog has had no issues with low iron. Thus, I can only assume that it has been beneficial. However, I hesitate to offer a medical endorsement. Please check with your vet.
