Excellent
Excellent quality. I've used 9 of these for almost 2 years now, without any problems.

Does what they say and more
This is what I had hoped. The ball valve has a secure seal, and will work with air or water, I tested it with air before install in water system, and it stayed sealed even at 165psi on air. Water system is running at only 72psi from regulator, and holds without even a drip thru. I use regular small 12v 4ah battery on my setup, since zero power is used after cycle completes, you only need to setup with DPDT toggle switch to open and close valve. Simple but elegant idea, saves having to cut power after cycle end. I can not figure why someone would choose 9 volt, to operate the valve, since using a nine volt battery wouldn’t have enough available current to be reliable, but since it was brought up, I applied 9v from bench power supply to the motor valve and the one I got, did in fact cycle both full close and full open. The speed was very slow about 5 second to cycle, compared to approximately 3 seconds on 12 volt. That top limit of 24 volt, is the handiest feature, you can run the valve even if your battery charger is active, without having to regulate the voltage to valve. My setup is solar, and the valve draws no power when full cycle, so basically you just need to reverse the power with DPDT switch labeled ON OFF. My valve is about 50 feet from where the control is located, and I used 16/2 direct burial cable to connect between, and the motorized ball valve, works flawless. There are many ways that this valve could activate other than direct control, search for latching relays, they still make them. In my particular setup, I just needed to be able to turn the valve on or off, without having to go to the valve, (and get either cold or wet in the process) This valve solved what I needed. It is a great product.

Incredible value and quality - Works with Arduino...
I built a water tank level controller using this valve in 1/2" and it works perfectly. I used a Dual H-Bridge driver for the positive and negative voltages to open and close the valve with an Arduino Nano to provide the logic. The Nano provides +5VDC signal which isn't enough to operate the valve and won't allow the valve to operate in the opposite direction by itself. To get to 12 volts and have positive and negative power for opening and closing the valve, I used the L298N Dual H-Bridge driver with two pins on the Nano as the open/close signals. There is probably a better method to control the valve but all of this stuff is readily available on Amazon for cheap and it works pretty good together for a long time, still working six months later...

Fast arrival and good quality
Great value for the cost. Works great. However, the ball opening is only 3/4”. Threads are 1” pipe. All parts are good quality.

Lasted 3 months before it stopped working - Buyer Beware
It worked for three months before it died. And during those three months it was hardly used in my application.. Don't waste your money on this thing.

I have several in use
Originally I bought only one to see how well they work. I have three now. Two control water to some ornamental plants and one a misting system on my A/C. Originally bought one just to see how well they worked. They work fine, I haven't had any issues with them. I believe I bought the first one about three years ago, the third about a year and a half. No issues with them at all. The A/C one is controlled by the A/C Thermostat. A/C comes on that one opens, when it goes off, it closes. Has worked without fault for 2 Summers in California's very hot Central Valley.

Works the way it should
Nice little valve. Does what it should. Don't get the the kind that automatically close, they don't work as well. The reverse polarity is the way to go.

Saving me money from hot water abuse of daughters.
Great device and it does have a 1/2 inch flow through when opened and works on 12v supply. Bought to install on hot water feed to shower. I installed a tankless heater and my daughters are taking 2hr showers. So I purchased this along with a a 30min timer switch (which I installed out in the hallway) oh caught them just running out and resetting the timer, so then incorporated a 10 minute delay relay , like used on ac compressor. So now after 30min the hot water shuts off , but the cold still works. So if the want to continue they need to wait 10min. Update , I had originally purchased this valve and after talking with the company they suggested that I get the stainless steel valve for use with potable water. The brass valve may contain lead. Both valves are great and open to a full 1/2 inch.
