Awesome tool for removing dead hairs from very thick, wirehaired or double-coat dogs fur. Just USE MANY PASSES & USE LIGHT STROKES. The teeth of the brush can scratch OUCH!) the dog’s skin if you push too hard when brushing. We have a German Wirehaired Pointer who can become a shed monster during spring & fall when his coat needs hand stripping (using a stripping comb to remove dead hairs from the root). This slicker brush really helps remove loose, dead hairs when I don't have the time for full stripping. I use it once a week and always before baths.

I love the hertzko self cleaning slicker brush! This is my 3rd one. My kids keep stealing them for their animals. It’s easy to use. I have arthritis and the button to retract the bristles is really easy to push. I appreciate how easy it is to keep clean as well. They’re very durable, lightweight and comfortable to use. It’s a quality product for a great price.

You will be amazed with thick haired dogs like my Golden Retreiver how much hair will end up on the tines. The self cleaning feature really sells this brush though. At the click of a button, the tines retract, and you can pull all the hair off of a smooth surface to do another few passes with the brush. Very solid brush for getting deep coat hair.

Love this brush; this is the second one I have purchased only because the other one just got wore out, but had it for 6 years.

I got this for my long haired cats but even my short haired love it (4 total). Easy to use and clean.

It makes it easy to get the fur out for sure however, it’s not really deep undercoater at all.

Love this brush. It works extremely well. It's kind of funny how the button works in reverse the bristles don't show until you push the button in, it clicks and the metal bristles appear. Then you brush your dog and click the button again the bristles disappear and the hair is waiting for you to grab. Very sturdy and well made.
