Hi, is this item waterproof ?

HI, I am not sure but to be honest it was not very effective so I bought a flea collar instead

Can the dogs hear the sound?

Dear Sarah, Thank you for your interest in our products. For your question, the answer is no. Although dogs and cats hear way better than people, they are not disturbed by the soundwave TICKLESS emits. Dogs can hear ultrasound up to 35 KHz, the device is working with 40 KHz, making the device entirely safe and harmless. I hope I could answer your question. Have a nice day! Daniel, from the Tickless Team

Struggling to know if it's working. Pressed it & it flashed but then there's nothing. Does a light need to be on all the time on it ?

The whole thing didn’t work for us on any of our 3 dogs. We found them a waste of money and never bought them again.

WHY are the batteries NOT able to be replaced?

The product is water resistant. Part of this is that the battery is soldered into place.
