Buttery and blendable
First time trying oil pastels. These are very buttery and quickly break in half, wrappers coming off. You will be delightfully covered in color as you use them. Work well on mixed media paper and wood! My main canvas type is wood and these worked nicely on them. They blend well but yes, it is a technique or skill to learn how to layer without pulling away color. These meet my expectations.

Overall great product
These DO have the linseed oil mess/smell that others have mentioned, but they're OIL pastels so maybe keep them in the fridge if you live in a hot climate. Be prepared to get some oil on your fingers anyway, a paper towel was necessary for me to not get the paper all oily from touching it. For the swatch sheet, I smudged each upwards with my finger and left it heavy on the bottom. In the test doodle I went pretty heavy on the mimikyu costume, particularly the tail. Zero complaints about layering the colors, how well they mix together on the paper (I used Paul Rubens oil pastel paper as well) or the amount of pigment present. A light hand and thin layers built up work well with these and they're soft enough to NEED a light hand. The darker colors seemed to be less oily than the mid and light tones, so the texture was a little different for those and they needed a little more pressure, which you can see in my swatch sheet.

Satisfyingly smooth!
My favorite medium in high school was always oil pastels. I tried to take up watercolor earlier this year but I was really struggling. I found watercolor to be very stressful lol. So, I decided to try oil pastels again. It's been over 20 years since I last used them and I've fallen in love all over again. I am not overly concerned with the color names etc, but there were some issues with that which is why I knocked off a star. It might be important to some people but I really don't care to be honest. The pastels are labeled with numbers and the names are listed on the color swatch sheet. The numbers on the pastels themselves are very hard to read and there are a couple of mislabeled colors on the swatch sheet. Not a big deal to me but I thought I'd mention it. I love how smooth these are, they are very satisfying to use and they blend well. I feel like they were a good set for the price. I'm just a casual artist, I mostly make cards for friends and family, so I didn't want to spend a ton of money. They get the job done and were much more relaxing than watercolor to me lol. Some of them were super greasy, but I was expecting to make a mess with these anyways so not a huge deal to me. I just wiped them off and all was well. I made a birthday card for a friend and i had fun, so that's what mattered most. If you're someone like me that likes to create something from time to time, or if you're just trying oil pastels for the first time these are a great budget set to start off with. If I get more serious than I am now I'll probably look for something better, but for now these are great and I enjoyed using them.

Great oil pastels
I was skeptical when I bought these. I've been trying to find some oil pastels that are as nice as Sennilier, but affordable. These are the closest to Sennilier that I've found. None of the hype I read was false. These are the softest, smoothest oil pastels I've found. They're terrific! I'm going to buy the full set next time I buy. I highly recommend.

Fantastic pastels! Bad shipping experience.
The pastels themselves are fantastic. So creamy, everything they promise, and everything you see in the IG videos. However. The seller didn't ship them in a shipping box or packaging of any kind, they just slapped a label directly on the box of pastels. So there was no insulation or protection. When I opened the box, they were all loose inside, had smeared all over each other, and they all have dented/smashed tips. I need them for a project and thus can't wait for them to be reshipped. So, that's pretty frustrating. But, shipping issues aside, they're a really great value for the price. I'd given them 5 stars if it weren't for the damage.

Very oily and slick
Oily and messy, bright colours, I love working these with a palette knife. No idea about the colour permanence. Wish they did boxes of individual colours but cannot find any way of contacting the company or customer services to find out.
