ALTRA Torin 7 Men's Running Shoes, Blue/Yellow

Like all the Altra shoes I've ever had they are very comfortable and are the perfect running shoe. I got this black one for two reasons, it was on sale and I wanted a more neutral color. It's perfect for me, big box toe for them to spread out when running and just the right amount of cushion.

Once you own altra trainers it’s difficult to go back to anything else, these are my fourth pair now. They’re incredibly comfortable, my toes feel free. I have been a skateboarder for almost 30 years so I have quite a few injuries. These help relieve the stress on my knees and hips. Now I’ve had altra, I’m sticking with them, nothing else compares.

Can't knock these. Great comfort and you can truly feel the difference a zero heel and toe drop give you. There is still some arch support I would have like to be flattened out as there is zero degree difference independently measured from heel and toe in the middle it obviously arch up to support the mid foot that's not really needed or referenced. So it's not really heel to toe but heel and toe still level.

My chiropodist recommended I buy this brand and he wasn’t wrong! Super comfy trainer with plenty toe space which I needed due to bunions! It feels like walking in clouds. Laces a bit short but stay tied so not a problem and good practical colour love these buy half size bigger if you can!

I bought two pairs of these shoes. The first pair developed a fault in less than 30 days. I took them to John Lewis to return them, but they blamed me for the holes that started to appear. The second pair, which I bought directly from Altra, also began to develop the same fault after just over 30 days of very light use. Despite using them only for walking, as they are very comfortable, the second pair developed the same issue. I am still using the old pair for walks to the local parks. The upper fabric is not strong enough and tears during regular wear. There are quite a few reviews on Amazon mentioning the same problem. Overall, they are definitely not worth the money, and I don’t think I will buy Altra again.

Great shoes, slight rubbing on ankles initially although this faded quickly. Everything else is great!

First off, the fit is perfect, love the wide toe box, I’ve always struggled to get running shoes that fit as a compliment to my barefoot shoes. Now, the main issue I had is that the foam is so soft it’s like running with marshmallow for cushioning. While running my foot would just squish off the side and made me roll my ankle. Maybe it’s because I’m a heavier bloke, but when my foot struck the ground it seems to completely squish all the foam and feel like I was hitting the ground hard These were just the wrong thing for me completely and don’t feel they are suited to heavier people, maybe a skinny fella would have better luck

A brand and a model of running shoes that fit my feet perfect. A lighter shoe compared with the Altra paradigm 6 which I also use. A bit softer sole again compared with Paradigm, but very comfortable

Got 2 holes in the upper just from regular wear. Upper clearly has durability or quality control issues.

Estaba buscando una zapatillas que fueron cómodas para mis largas caminatas . así que empecé a buscar por internet zapatillas cómodas para caminar y que tuvieran drop 0 ya que yo tengo los pies planos. en casi todos los foros de running aparecen con una calificación sobresaliente así que me decidí a comprarlas. Hoy he hecho el estreno con estas 10 km caminando. y puedo decir que son las zapatillas más cómodas que he tenido nunca no tengo ni ni un pero en cuanto a comodidad. también que a pesar de la plantilla que tiene sientes el suelo sientes la pisada pero súper confortable. por poner solamente una objeción diré que el mesh superior ,por mi forma de caminar no porque la zapatillas sean mala las, porque levanto el dedo gordo del pie y siempre las agujereo por ahí me ponga lo que me ponga. entonces he comprado un refuerzo que es como una especie de parche de tela para reforzar esa zona interiormente donde levantó el dedo gordo justo en la puntera . porque si no me van a durar menos de un año y es una pena porque son súper cómodas así me iré cargando el parche y no las zapatillas. de todas formas soy especialista en complicarme la vida. 😄 pero para cualquier otro que no levante el dedo gordo le van a durar más y no se le van a hacer un agujero. otras zapatillas vienen reforzadas y no he tenido necesidad de hacer esto. como la Salomón Sonic 5 que tengo que llevan toda la puntera reforzada y este efecto de mi dedo se nota menos. bueno me estoy enrollando mucho. lo principal es que mi pie mide 27,5 cm y la talla 44 me va perfecta. cálculo que tendrá veintiocho centímetros de suela interna. las he comprado en 105 euros y creo que invertir en un calzado cómodo para poder hacer el running o largas caminatas como en mi caso no es tirar el dinero. así que recomiendo su compra. aprovecho como siempre para reivindicar Paquito el chocolatero como himno nacional español.

I have worn Brooks and ASICS shoes for more than ten years. After trying many other brands, those have consistently been the safest options for my very flat feet and overpronation. Poor-fitting shoes can aggravate my knees and lower back, so I am extremely picky about footwear. Even within the brands I trust, only certain models work well for me. I wanted something different mainly because I was tired of wearing the same two brands all the time. My wife gave me the ALTRA Men’s Torin 7 Road Running Shoe, and I was honestly skeptical. I almost tried them only because refusing a gift from my wife seemed like a dangerous little marriage experiment. Fortunately, I gave them a fair chance, because they have been an excellent surprise. The wide, foot-shaped toe box is the feature I noticed immediately. I cannot stand shoes that squeeze or restrict my toes, and the Torin 7 allows them to spread naturally. Despite the roomy front, the shoe does not feel loose or unstable. My foot still feels secure, supported, and planted inside the shoe. The cushioning is also very good. It provides a comfortable ride without feeling excessively soft or unstable. I normally replace the factory insoles in many of my shoes, so I am already accustomed to adjusting footwear to fit my needs. Even before making any changes, the Torin 7 felt comfortable and well balanced. Another thing I appreciate is that the shoe feels natural rather than bulky. The upper does not create unnecessary pressure around my foot, and the overall fit gives me freedom without sacrificing stability. That combination is difficult for me to find. The zero-drop design may require an adjustment period for someone who normally wears traditional running shoes with a higher heel-to-toe drop. I introduced them gradually rather than immediately wearing them for every activity. That allowed me to become comfortable with the different feel. ALTRA may not receive the same attention as some of the more heavily promoted athletic brands, but the ALTRA Men’s Torin 7 Road Running Shoe has earned a place in my regular rotation. It offers a spacious toe box, good cushioning, a secure feel, and excellent overall comfort. I am grateful that my wife convinced me—whether intentionally or through fear of household consequences—to try them. I now have another dependable footwear option besides Brooks and ASICS, which is a major victory for someone as difficult to please with shoes as I am.
