Yuasa YBX5054 12V 40Ah 360A Silver Car Battery

Its not often you find a true gem on amazon but this is probably one of them. By all accounts its a good quality battery. It was delivered within a few days. It was packaged well. When my battery warning light came on and showed a low battery status in cold weather I bought it. I was quited £140 to fit and supply a new acid battery similar to this one. Instead I bought this one and was quoted between £15-£20 to fit it - what a saving! In the end it was fitted for free by a garage at the same time as I had new tyres fitted. No issues and so far so good. This battery has saved me £100 compared to the service garage quote (and probably more vs main dealer). NB for anyone interested it was a perfect replacement for a Honda Jazz Crosstar 20 plate.

I have had a problem with two separate replacement batteries of another make. They didn’t last long just until the guarantee had expired. I have a Honda Jazz Vtec so I checked with the car manufacturer to see what battery they recommended and it was this one. It came ready charged and started the car immediately. Hoping it will last as long as the one that was in the car when I bought it.

My wife's car battery failed to start her 19 year old car, on a cold snowy day. That was a Yuasa battery of a now discontinued model number. I had to drive to where she was and jump start it and follow her home. Since that battery was aged, I purchased his model, which fits in Mark 2 Honda Jazz. Started immediately I had this model . Time will tell how many years this battery lasts. Anything over 6 years will be OK for a £42 battery.

Excellent prompt service. Arrived in "bomb proof" packaging in a heavy duty vacuum bag covered by polystyrene and in a sturdy box. Battery was a perfect fit and came already charged - thank you! I was worried about losing my ECU and radio settings when I changed the battery so I connected a battery starter pack first and then carefully removed the old battery. The new one had identical Japanese battery terminals to my old battery (note that the positive terminal is always larger to avoid confusion) so it was literally a case of lifting old out and putting new in. Terminals were connected, battery starter pack removed then I covered the terminals in Vaseline. When I turned the ignition key, the car started as quickly as it did when new (12 years ago!) whereas my old, original battery had been giving me warnings by taking longer and longer to start until it was finally killed by the recent extreme cold snap. I feel confident that this battery will see the life of the car out.

Yuasa silver batteries are probably the best battery at a reasonable price that you can fit to your car. They have higher power output for their size than other batteries and very low self-discharge when car not used. They are also truly maintenance free - I have used this brand for a long time with zero problems...

The battery started out ok but within a year was failing to hold a charge and despite repeated overnight trickle charging, and repeated long road runs, failed completely in late July 2026. Yuasa were not interested saying they only offer a 12month warranty, and Amazon failed to respond to my contacting them regarding a refund or replacement. I recommend you pay a bit more and buy a battery locally with a proper guarantee...

la batería muy bien, me la entregaron en mano, sin caja, ni plástico ni nada tal cual, eso si en buen estado pero era de 12v 50 Ah y 450A, la instalé y hasta ahora todo perfecto.

Arrivata imballata perfettamente, carica al 50%. Ha molto più spunto dell'originale e sta perfettamente nella sede. L'ho presa perché ho lo stesso modello sull'altra macchina da 4 anni e non ho mai avuto problemi anche quando è rimasta ferma 2 mesi.
