It’s a great and functional cooler.
This cooler has been great for me. It’s much cheaper than most other brands - especially ones like Yeti - and it feels just as sturdy and functional. The size is great and it holds quite a bit, but I would say it could get pretty heavy pretty quickly if you’re loading it up. It is really easy to use, and it will keep items cold for the entire day, even if it’s sitting in the hot sun. I use this on Costco runs, especially if I am buying anything that should be refrigerated like meat or dairy products. I’m very happy with this cooler.

Very Good Cooler, EXCELLENT Value
I paid $100... I see this Igloo is priced even lower now;0) A GREAT VALUE. We just did 10 days beach camping in NC. I wanted a cooler that "worked" (all my previous cheapies never did) BUT I also DID NOT want to spend the price of Yeti (and sim brands). After A LOT of market research I chose this Igloo. On blistering hot sunny days (zero shade), being accessed several x's/day, it kept 1/2 its ice solid and stayed super cold for a full 24hrs+. We'd replenish w/ a 20 lb bag of ice once per each day or 2 after collecting the super cold water for other usages (so, 1/2 the ice still there, entire cooler still SUPER COLD). We had meats inside, so I didn't want to risk it. If just beverages we could've easily let more time pass bw ice runs. Then, on shadier (but still quite warm) beach days the ice's lifetime was doubled. Some may say, "well, Yeti is better." Can say, our camping neighbors had several Yeti's and were replacing their ice quite frequently (it was blistering hot). They also seemed frugal minded, glued to the campsite as we took our saved $350's+, would drive to the bay, and enjoy FUN cocktails and yummy eats! This cooler IS ALSO veryyyy sturdy, built well, strong hinges-latches-handles, and has a helpful drain spout (with a securely closed cap). Also, very roomy. Any cooler larger than this would be quite difficult to manage (it's weight) once full of contents and ice.

The best for any construction worker
This is the best cooler. My husband works in asphalt and this cooler has been a beast. It sits on the paver or roller while he works in the heat. We have bought 2 in 12 yrs! If that doesn't say something,I don't know what I could write to convince you it's worth the money. The one that were currently replacing has been through it all. Holds ice, plenty of room and the lid as a seat, is a great option as well!!

Sturdy, looks cool, and kept ice frozen and food cold
We needed a new cooler since we got rid of our last one. We were road tripping over to Phoenix from Las Vegas and wanted to take food, drinks, snacks, etc. My husband was trying to talk me into buying a Yeti because his son has one and loves it. They live in Florida and go boating, camping, ATVing all the time so they could justify the cost. Knowing that we will only use it a few times a year, I set out to find a cheaper alternative, but still a very good quality cooler. I did some research and found that Igloo has a much higher end line of coolers than they used to and this one got really good reviews, so I ordered it. In reading the reviews, I learned that you can pre-condition a cooler by filling it with ice and frozen water bottles overnight and everything will stay cold longer. Neither of us had ever heard of that so we decided to try it with this new cooler. We did, and the next morning, we added our food and other drinks to it and stuck it in the trunk of my car. Phoenix is about a four-hour drive from Vegas and the temps started out at over 100 and got up to 110+ by the time we got there. When we got to the hotel and opened the cooler in our room, everything was as frozen as it was when we left. Maybe not too remarkable but pretty impressive given how hot it was in the trunk of my car. Anyhoo, we unloaded the food into the mini fridge and left the drinks and frozen waters in the cooler. We were making drinks with the mixers in the cooler, so we opened it a lot! Hee hee Everything was super cold the next day and the water bottles were still frozen, but the ice we brought with us had thawed enough so that it was ice cubes mixed with water. By the third day, the day we left, the water bottles were still almost completely frozen with just a little water in each one. We added a little ice from the hotel ice machine and it tends to be slightly watery, but by the time we got about two hours away and stopped for snacks, we opened the cooler and that hotel ice was even more frozen than when we put it in! Okay, now THAT’S pretty remarkable! Needless to say, this cooler is perfect for how we’ll use it. That was our trial run, but we'll also use it for day trips in our side-by-side since it fits perfectly in the bed. One thing I like is that the drain plug screws on instead of just popping in or out, so it can’t be accidentally drained. Not only that, it looks really cool, AND they have several color combinations of that model so you can order the color combo that suits you best!

Keep Ice for 3 Days
I needed a cooler I could keep in my car when I travel for dog sports. We’re usually out in the sun for as long as eight hours a day, and sometimes there’s not a lot of shade. The cooler I had would melt the ice within about six hours. I was spending so much money on ice. So I bought this after looking at the reviews, indicating that items would still be cold after three days, even with some ice in the cooler. It’s absolutely true. Three days after I put a bag of ice in this, there is still ice in the cooler although most of it’s just really really cold water. But it’s still cold enough to keep what I need cold. The money I save on ice is going to have this cooler pay for itself in about a month and a half. It’s a great price and a great cooler.

Arizona bound
I was looking for a cooler that was reasoniy priced, well built and keeps your items cold. I have owned this cooler for about 5 years now and we travel from Minnesota to Arizona every year about a 3 day drive, I fill up one gallon bags ( 2 or 3) with water and freeze them over night and fill the cooler with frozen foods including beef. when we get to Yuma Arizona the ice is still completely froze and everything is still very cold. Works great and very well built, Brian

IGLOO 25QT Pass or fail ice experiment
When I received this cooler, I stuffed this bad boy into the back of my SUV, and dumped a big ‘ol bag of ice into it. My vehicle was left outside with full exposure to the sun for the majority of the time, except for about three hours on day 3 where a big oak tree was shading it. (You can tell as the pics taken on day three have a grayish and bluish tint to it than all the other days). On day 4, the weather didn’t permit sunshine and it was cold. (Wisconsin bipolar weather phases here.) The cooler was opened only once each day to check on ice retention. The lid then got secured correctly and properly down with the latches after opening. I should also note that I pushed my monstrous 103 pounds of adult weight into the lid to ensure a tight seal, and then let the thing go for about 24 hours each time before checking on it. Overall, I was pretty impressed with how well this cooler performed. It allows for a decent 2 day ice retention. On day 3—or 48 hours later, although there were some melt (roughly about 25% “liquid ice” by then), all the chunks that were still left clumped into one giant block; And it was still pretty chilly inside the cooler. On day 4, the temperature dropped significantly which slowed the melt. There was still a good chunk of ice left however, and single cubes were still present and floating around, “shoulder to shoulder” in the water. The water was also arctic cold since the cooler did its bit to retain the temperature inside. This cooler could go for one more day in my case, but my situation is unique, and being able to handle one more day is definitely due to the extreme temperature drop on day 4. The advertisement is on point for AT LEAST four days of ice in my experiment. It seems this cooler will work for a four day trip. However, ice retention will depend on factors like if you leave it out in the sun, temperature, how often you open the cooler during the day, and how long you leave it opened for before closing it. Now this cooler needs some real live action play on some outings. I’ll be taking it out to test at campsites and then see what the results are. If this review needs modification, I’ll be back to change or add to it. Overall, this is seemingly a great steal at this price point! Also, the pictures I uploaded is not showing Day 1 to Day 4 in order. It's completely jumbled up and I apologize for that. Amazon needs to correct this as this was not how I uploaded it.

Excellent Cooling Performance, But Bulky
I’ve used the Igloo BMX Hard Cooler on several outdoor trips, and it’s definitely one of the best coolers I’ve owned in terms of performance. It keeps ice frozen for days, even in hot conditions, and the build quality is solid and rugged — perfect for camping, road trips, or beach days. That said, it’s quite bulky and heavy, especially the larger sizes. It’s not the easiest to carry around unless you have help or wheels. But if you’re prioritizing cooling power and durability, this cooler delivers. Overall, highly recommended for serious outdoor use — just be prepared for the weight!

Mejor de lo que pensaba
Hermosa hielera, la calidad de los materiales es muy buena y también de los terminados. Es ligera y fácil de transportar pero muy resistente, típica hielera en la que puedes estar sentado sobre ella sin problemas.

Pre chill before use
First time having a cool box with this much insulation, it took a couple times of using to learn that you have to cool the insulation down to let it work properly, you can't just pull it out the cupboard and expect it to keep food frozen. By using a couple water filled frozen 2lt pop bottles and some cold water the night before you need it, it will keep your food frozen, just keep topping it up with ice from the shops to keep it cold.
