I tried the Grenades gum as an alternative to Black Black chicklets and Wang Black Strong Mint Gum to help control my asthma, because the other gums are difficult to find during the Covid Pandemic. The Grenades gum is a good alternative for a fraction of the price. A barrel of the other gums average about $12 each, not including shipping and handling. The Grenades are a much better value.The Grenades gum starts out VERY strong, almost so strong that it makes my eyes tear up, which is terrific for my sinuses and asthma. They really open things up very quickly. I would caution about wearing a mask and glasses when you first start on a piece, as they will burn your eyes. 1 piece at a time has been sufficient for me. The strong flavor lasts about 5 minutes and then begins to fade. It remains minty and strong enough to help me stop coughing for about an hour and then I move on, but the first 5 minutes are enough to start calming my lungs down.I would recommend this to anyone who loves mint or has respiratory issues and is looking for immediate relief without having to use medications. The xylitol is an added bonus, because I don't like artificial sweeteners and I try to limit my sugar intake. I'll be ordering more as my supplies begin to run low.

This gum is insanely minty and awesome. I thought the reviews were sort of made up but I threw a few pieces at people around the office and some of them immediately spit it out and a lot of them teared up because of the intensity. The initial blast only lasts a few minutes bit then it's just really good minty gum for quote some time. Super into it. Love it. Happy I ran accross this product !

Really clears my sinus's

Our daughter got us hooked on this gum when she was stationed in Hawaii and sent some home to us. Hubby has asthma but hates having to use his inhaler all the time, especially when he has a cold or is just having really bad allergies. He will chew a piece of this to help ease his breathing. I don't have asthma, but have also chewed it when I have a cold and my airways feel tight. It eases my breathing so much! Be warned though, it is super strong and if you're not expecting it, it WILL make you cry!

Bought this for my husband who pops three pieces of normal mint gum at a time because "it isn't minty enough." My husband loves altoids, and I hate them. Toooooo strong. This gum? This stuff is minty HOT. I spit it out the first time because it was too much. I'm more accustomed now, and I can chew a piece. My husband still pops three pieces of this gum just like the others... That's just to antagonize me, though. Definitely a strong gum. Loses flavor at the speed of juicy fruit, so don't expect a long lasting hit, but the initial kick is nice.

It’s very strong, I have to pocket it in my cheek for a bit to get over the “hotness” but minty flavor lasts only for about 5 min. I wish there was a lingering minty taste. I begin chewing it about 5 minutes before getting to work. The texture gets a bit firm after awhile but not hard.

Too strong for me but my grandsons love it. They’re at the age where dating age and garlic don’t go together. This gum solves that problem!

The gum is very minty as expected. When you put it in your mouth, expect a very strong minty flavour (not peppermint), then it’s very harsh and cool, so I wouldn’t recommend chewing immediately, but a little bit later. It has a nice after taste.Cons: it’s hard and drawy. I left 5Gum for something stronger, but 5Gum was chewable over a period of time. This one is not. It gets hard and makes your jaw uncomfortable. It’s great as a mint, but not as a gum.Maybe if it was stick gum, it would have been easier.I’m tryna get a refund or exchange. It was advertised as not strong but this one is. I’m an avid gum chewer and this is strong to chew for 5mins and over.Edit: I spoke to them. They don’t do refunds or exchanges. But they were nice and offered a replacement. That was good. I’m getting used to the gym now. The elasticity is different but after popping 5-15 pieces, as time goes on, you get used to it. I think I’ll keep on buying this gum.Also, what you’re buying is 5 packs of 30.
