Carpuride W702B Motorcycle Carplay Screen with Mount for BMW Motorbike

Very nice bit of kit. Large clear screen which is responsive and easy to read whilst on my bike. Connects quickly and was pretty easy to set-up. It comes with all the bits you need. It's a reasonable price when compared to other motorcycle sat navs. Recommended.

This was a spontaneous purchase after a recommendation from a friend..Hey what to lose? Arrived well packaged and instructions easy to understand. This model purchased to directly fit onto my BMW GS will factory Sat Nav mount, and to my surprise it did, closely by powering up and followed guide. If I said 5 minutes after fitting it was ready for use, it was that easy. Now for assessment of riding. The screen is bright and clear in all weather's. In fact have to turn down in darkness as it is too bright. The screen does work with gloves, although flat of fingers, doesn't like seams. It functions well between apps and links with helmet coms and phone. Probably done over 1000 miles now, and has performed without fault. Great value for money and updates bike dash and view extremely well. The 7 inch does obscure some of the tacho. Doesn't bother me. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Can’t fault the seller. Next day delivery, well packaged and courteous courier. Unpacked the Carpuride and very impressed with quality. Instructions in colour and very easy to follow. Instantly fitted onto BMW cradle and locked in. Fired up iPhone and firstly paired WiFi with 88888888 Code. Tapped Bluetooth and instantly paired without issue. The 7” is by far the better of the 5 and 7 inch as smaller makes it very difficult to see definition on screen. I’ve turned up The brightness which makes viewing easier and larger screen makes Waze far easier to view whilst on the move. All very intuitive to use and swipe right or left to view apps. All in all very good value with a variety of apps that can be used on the move. Haven’t yet used the voice activated phone options although a mate has same and finds it pretty reliable. Some great offers on Amazon which saved £50 and made buying an easy positive decision.

I had a Nav 6 on my R1250GSA which I always thoght was a clunky, unintuative device, now largely redundant due to better mobile phones and apps. However, my ageing eyes found a mounted phone to be suboptimal, and the audio connection to the helmet via the bike was unreliable at best. The carpuride basically extends your phone screen, bringing up carplay enabled apps on the screen. I went for the bigger screen of the 702, and angled the mount up a tad so it didn't impinge on the TfT. Seamless easy connection to my phone and helmet, reliable connection everytime, and simple intuative, phone like interaction via the good touch screen. Downside is that there is no wonder wheel integration, but actually I've not missed it as much as I thought I would. Good product.

Brilliant bit of kit. I've had one for a year. Bought this for a mate as he loved mine. Can be used on any bike but has a dedicated mount for BMW so it clips straight into where the useless BMW Navigator goes and locks in exactly the same. Mirrors your iPhone or android phone. All app as work, all sat nav apps work and links up to your helmet intercom. Touchscreen that can be used with gloves on. Waterproof. Love this. You can pay a bit more and it will let you use the bmw wonder wheel (can't see why you would tbh) and also get one with front and rear dashcams. Awesome.

The plastic that secures the mount to the cradle broke after 2000 miles on my R1200GS, normal riding, no offroad. So it fell off and impossible to fasten again without tape or tools. Apparently not an unusual problem. The white suggest fatigue not a single impact which is consistent with what happened.

This product was being discussed on the UKGSer forum as an excellent device to get Android Auto onto your BMW R1250GSA - the device came prepared to fit into the BMW docking unit for power and took less than 2 minutes to replace my Garmin GPS unit. In case you are unsure, you need your phone to use this device for navigation. Phone connects easily, no issues (Android) and my Cardo PalkTalk Edge also connected with no issues. Much nicer screen than the garmin, touch screen also works with my touch screen Keis heated gloves. Screen is bright enough for daytime riding - have not tried it at night yet, so hoping not to be blinded by its brightness. Carpuride also offer a customisation service to change the boot screen to the logo of your choice! I would highly recommend this device.

This is an excellent product. It connected to my BMW mount easily, powered up and worked straight away. Needed a few tweaks to work with helmet and phone simultaneously and after that is great. Allowed me to use my favourite nav throughout a France trip.

Das Carpuride ("B" = BMW-Adapter) kommt sehr ordentlich verpackt an und macht einen wertigenEindruck. (Überkompletter) Lieferumfang, techn. Eigenschaften usw. ist der Beschreibung zu entnehmen. Mittlerweile ist sogar der BMW-Adapter schon vormontiert. Inbetriebnahme fast selbst erklärend. Was mich u.a. angesprochen hat: die max. Helligkeit von 1.000 nits (Outdoor-Tablets i.d.R. max.! 500 nits / = empfohlenes Minimum bei direktem Sonnenlicht!), sowie die einfache Montage an eine BMW GS iVm dem mitgelieferten Adapter. Auf Grund der Größe wird die oberste Zeile des BMW-Displays verdeckt. Abhilfe schafft eine kleine Drehung der Navi-Halterung nach oben. Relativ "günstig" - obwohl nur als Monitor funktionierend ("nur" Spiegelung des Handy iVm Apple Carplay bzw. Android Auto). Kein eigenständiges Tablet, Navi o.ä.! Dafür fixe, unkomplizierte Inbetriebnahme und Montage (UND abschließbar in der Original-Halterung). Die App-Anzeigen bzw. eingeschränkter App-Umfang (im Vergleich zum Handy) sind der App-Programmierung geschuldet - haben nichts mit Carpuride zu tun. Hinweise zur Kopplung, mgl. Sprachausgabe an den Helm/Ohrhörer usw. geben entsprechende Vids in Youtube (Rhönschrat [ab ~ Minute 18...], Phul_Phil u.a.). Englischsprachige Anleitung beiliegend. Nicht mit dem BMW-Controller agierend - dafür mit (Mot-)Handschuhen bedienbar. Stark reflektierendes Display. Hier habe ich mir (wie auch beim Handy) eine Anti-Reflexfolie im WWW bestellt [BROTECT - schutzfolien24]. Bestens - immer noch eine sehr gute Anzeige vorhanden. Klar wäre ein vollwertiges Outdoor-Tablet (bei dem u.a. gleich die Streckenführung relativ entspannt -auf Grund der Tabletgröße und der Ausstattung- festgelegt werden könnte) idealer - aber auch (mit Halterung): kostenintensiver und aufwendiger in der Montage. Habe keine vernünftige und abschließbare! Tablethalterung (geeignet für "NoName-Outdoor-Tablets") für's Mot gefunden. Sogenannte Marken-Tablets (iPads, Samsung uam.) sprengen [für mich - für diesen Einsatzzweck] die finanzielle Akzeptanz... Somit bleibt Carpuride eine "günstige" und einfach zu montierende Alternative zu einem reinen Navi. Das (teure und kleinere) Handy bleibt [vor Wind, Wetter, Vibrationen (Bildstabilisator) usw. geschützt] "am Mann". Nachtrag: mutmaßlicher Wasserschaden (Extrem-Unwetter in Italien) - der Carpuride-Support antwortet (in deutsch!) innerhalb eines Tages! Nach diversem Foto- und Videoversand wurde mir (in der Garantiezeit) ein Ersatzgerät angeboten! TOP!!! Solch einen Super-Support habe ich noch nie erlebt!!! Klare Empfehlung!
