Works with the same screw holes as my original strike plate!
This strike plate solved my door problem. I just bought a unit in a condo and the strike plates are larger than the standard size plate offered by this seller as well as other sellers. Whenever I tried to lock the dead bolt, I always had trouble locking the deadbolt, I would need to pull the door before turning the key. This is problematic when your hands are full. Then I bought an electronic keyless deadbolt, and it wouldn’t lock. When I looked at the strike plate, I see that someone tried hammering the strike plate to get it to work with the original deadbolt. The original hole was obviously not positioned correctly so the deadbolt slider was always hitting the bottom of the strike plate. This replacement strike plate uses the same screw holes as my original one, but the hole is now large enough that the electronic deadbolt easily slides in with no resistance!

Brilliant idea - and they work!
After changing out door hardware, I had 2 doors that were difficult to latch with the deadbolt.My contractor suggested filing out the strike plates, but that would have been very tedious and time consuming. Instead, I found these. They work perfectly. And I really like the small dowels to fill in old holes; I ended up using these on the latch T-strike when I had to move those forward 1/8 inch.Everything comes in a cute plastic storage box. The finish is nice and matches satin nickel hardware.These are not cheap, but they save a lot of time and just work. I like that.Highly recommended.

Simple strike plates (plus a few other hardware items) added security to a vulnerable door.
These are of simple design yet strong. One side of the hole is slimmer than the other which is what I needed. After drilling a pair of new holes in the door frame, I attached these with extra long screws that go deep into the frame and into 2x4s, then added heavy-duty prong-style latches to the door’s back. The prongs go deeply into the reinforced holes, and the combination adds extra sturdiness and security to a door that had nothing but a typical finger-latch doorknob and seemed vulnerable. None of the changes are visible from the outside of the door. The strike plates were easy to install, though I didn’t use the supplied screws and went with something much longer. If you do something similar, check that the screws you want to use will fit the strike plates’ holes.

Fixed the problem
I bought this in hopes that it would fix my problem in locking my deadbolt. I was having to turn the door knob and pick up just to lock it and sometimes that didn’t even work. Installing this was really simple. Functions as it should and I’m able to lock my deadbolt now. I bought another one to change on my other door as it had a similar issue.

No more sticking dead bolt.
This really was great. I tried to use the existing strike plate, but couldn’t get it to lign up with the dead bolt. This plate has a lot more tolerance so I was able to make it wapork on my fitst try.
