Prestige Durasteel Induction Stainless Steel Frypan, Silver, 20 cm

This review is for a Prestige Durasteel Induction Stainless Steel Frypan, Silver, 30 cm purchased direct from Amazon.I have a ceramic hob and have previously bought several makes of large non stick frying pans, all of which the bases have warped over time. Also the non-stick coatings weren’t that great and didn’t seem to last. I have several Prestige pans and all have them have solid thick bases that haven’t warped and have lasted for many years. Hence I decided to see if I could source a Prestige non-stick frying pan of the same ilk.I came across this stainless steel Prestige frying pan and it seemed to fit the bill. However the proof of the pudding is in the eating and I eagerly waited for it to arrive. I wasn’t disappointed. It has a good thick solid base which I think will withstand warping and is solidly made. It is quite heavy, which I prefer, however if you prefer a light pan this may not be for you (It weighs in at approximately just under 3lbs/1.3 kg)I went for the larger size at 30cm/11.8ins, which is a good size, but it does taper in to approx 9ins/23cm at the base. At first I was a little disappointed but found that in use the high sides meant there was plenty of room to move things around. It was also great for doing stir fries and even old fashioned bubble and squeak and nothing stuck. It was easy to clean too.The handle felt sturdy and overall it is a good looking functional frying pan. It doesn’t come with a lid but I am lucky as I have one that fits if needed.At just under £27 pounds it was a little expensive ( it was on offer when I bought it and was a good price for this particular pan) but I have a feeling that it will outlast the other pans I have purchased in the past.

Like the fact I can put it in the oven. Easy to clean.Also nice and deep.

Sturdy and good coating. Easily cleaned.replacement for the same item, which lasted several years.

Good quality and not too heavy. Handle offers a comfortable easy grip and stays cool. Non stick surface works. Over my lifetime I have bought a variety of frying pans and the saying “ you get what you pay for” comes to mind. Would definitely buy again.

I've already got the set of saucepans and an omelette pan from this range so this was the obvious choice when I wanted a larger frying pan. Ideal size for 2 fried eggs, the non-stick surface is excellent and performance on an induction hob almost as good as my french cast iron pans.

Good pan but I bought a small oneWould recommend going for a larger size

I love my new frying pan. It's so satisfying to cook an egg and not have it stuck to the pan. I wish I had ordered the lid for it at the same time though. I would recommend this pan all the time.

Nice heavy pan. Good thing is that it’s stainless steel.
