Ugly and tacky, but effective as all get out. We had a leak in our kitchen wall and so there were damp areas (that are now being repaired). The moisture apparently encouraged fruit flies and other tiny winged beasties. After trying to control them with various chemical means, we just gave up and got these fly strips. Since they don't have any chemicals meant to attract flies, I was a bit skeptical at first. I was proved wrong. We hung one at each window and were collecting a dozen or two unwanted guests on each one every day. Even after two or more weeks, these remain unbelievably sticky. It's hard to take them down and throw them away. They are fairly easy to put up, but the little hanger loops tend to get pretty sticky as well. Just having two of these in the kitchen probably got rid of 90% of the flies within days.

My yard backs up against a neighbor's cow pasture so flies are just part of the deal around here. Apparently his flies do not respect property lines. ;) I hang these in my garage near the cat food and they do a good job keeping the flies under control.They are the usual sticky fly strips so you do have to be a little careful handling them. Once they are up though they work fine and catch flies pretty quickly. The pack comes with a ton of them too so I do not feel like I have to ration them. For the price and how long they last this is a pretty good deal. I would buy them again when I run out becuase they do exactly what I need.

Let me preface this by saying that as a horse owner, I’ve used pretty much every fly deterrent and trap out there. I bought these because they’re cheap. And yes, they DO work, very well - but I’ve had the canister come off on several; as soon as you try to pull the tape out, it pops out of the tube still coiled, and now it’s useless. See picture. Also, the loop you pull to get the tape out, is incredibly sticky - and shouldn’t be that way. It’s really irritating setting up a few fly strips and having your hands be coated with the stickiness because the loop is sticky.So yeah, while they do work well, I don’t like getting my hands sticky putting them up, and also don’t like the fact several have been wasted. I’d rather pay more for another brand to not have the sticky stuff over my hands.

These work very well. Packaged nicely and super sticky. Only issue is the end with weight falls off so it doesn’t keep it stretched all the way out but still catches a lot of flies

Works well, thumb tack in the lid for easy placement. I put ours in the kitchen over the sink. Leave the light on and turn off others and the trap will catch flies over night.

As you are deploying, be careful not to touch strip. Very effective when used in addition to other vinegar style traps. When used with additional methods, it has decreased my gnat annoyance by @least 70%. Inconvenient & somewhat messy if you touch it, but effective

These are a staple and on autoship to our farm from spring through fall. We have tried many other things and these ALWAYS work. I don’t mind changing them every few days and enjoy that there is no smell.
