Puffed whey protein.
As a bit of a cereal addict and as someone whoโs also actively trying to keep carbs low and protein high, the idea of this cereal hits a lot of right notes. But does it deliver? - Taste. Flavor-wise itโs pretty good. Not too sweet but just enough to give it that Saturday morning โtreatโ vibe. Very distinct Birthday Cake flavor, which is very much to personal taste but I like it. - Monk fruit. I am not a fan of monk fruit as a sweetener but here itโs just a faint hint and so Iโm not put off by its use here. (Totally irrelevant point for those that like the flavor monk fruit.) - Texture. Odd. This is where things get a bit weirder as the title suggests, the texture is very much like puffed whey protein, which isnโt much like grain cereal. That said, I eat enough whey protein to appreciate it and not be put off by the gumminess that comes with it. - Value. This is the smallest most expensive box of cereal Iโve ever eaten - thereโs really not that much in the box at that. If you reorient your mind around the fact this is more like a protein shake in cereal form it helps a little to justify the price. Still, youโre going to get a lot more mileage out of buying powder over this to get the same amount of protein. - Free spoon is pretty neat in my humble opinion (though how many do you really need if youโre buying this in bulk all the time.) In summary, this tastes pretty good and delivers on low carb protein packed content, itโs just super expensive for what you get. But if youโre set on getting your protein and cereal fix in one go this will deliver.

Bad flavor and texture is ruined in their newest recipe
I dont know what they did, I used to love magic spoon but lately all of their cereals have become very airy, less crunchy. Its almost as soon as the cereal touches the milk it becomes soggy. Its so disappointing it used to be amazing Decided to give one more shot trying the magic spoon birthcake cheerio types and my god its so bad. Same issues as the ones i grab at whole foods plus a crazy synthetic flavor it almost immediately made me nauseous. Please for the love of god go back to the old way you made these. Especially your cocoa ones at whole foods. It was a staple in my kitchen I recommended to everyone and now I tell people to stay away

Great Flavor - Normal Monkfruit Strange Aftertaste
The initial smell of this flavor isn't too great. That being said, we're not buying cereal to smell, right? The flavor is fantastic. It feels like a sugar cereal treat that tricks my brain into thinking I'm getting a little treat. Then comes the aftertaste. For anyone who uses non-sugar sweeteners, you know the aftertaste I'm talking about. It's not off-putting - just strange. The flavor is good. Not really a breakfast flavor. I'd recommend frosted, cocoa, or blueberry muffin for that. My son doesn't care for it. My wife tolerates it. Like most healthy things masquerading as unhealthy you have to treat it for what it is: a healthy alternative and option for those of us trying to live a better lifestyle or who have gluten intolerance. I'll definitely finish this box, but I have just one other problem - shrinkflation. These boxes are small. Smaller than what you buy in the store. If I saw this next to a regular sized box of cereal, I probably wouldn't spring for it and come up with a different option for breakfast. But as I said before - this is an alternative to enjoying something that feels unhealthy without the side effects of terrible sugar cereals. It's worth trying especially if you need low keto, need a boost of protein, or have gluten intolerance.

Great macros!
This cereal has great macros for those tracking what they eat - 13 grams protein for only 150 calories is great for a breakfast cereal! The ingredients were also of good quality; I'm glad they used allulose instead of artificial sweeteners (allulose is natural and also tends to not cause digestive distress in most people). The cereal was fresh and has pretty little confetti (which is made with natural colors (beets, spirulina, etc) instead of food dyes). The loops are puffier than your standard cheerio size - more similar in size to froot loops. They had a nice, pleasant crunch to them, no staleness or chalkiness. It also had a very pleasant vanilla flavor, and was subtly sweet (not like the sugar spike you get from the typical breakfast cereals). I also let them sit in milk for 5 minutes, and they didn't get soggy or dissolve, and the milk had a very slight sweetness to it after. Each box also came with a stainless steel spoon, which was an unexpected surprise! Definitely made me want to try the other flavors. The only downside is the price, so this is definitely more of a treat for me and not something I'll regularly purchase
