American Atelier Canisters, Cream Antique, Set of 3

I love the color, design, everything. The plastic/rubber around the lip lids are not super secure and sometimes fall off, but I expected this because I read reviews before purchasing. That being said, one could always use a strong glue to secure them. I don't mind...I am careful and gentle when removing the lids so they stay put, mostly. The lids are also breakable, not made of metal, though they appear to be. If I had kids at home I wouldn't let them touch them. They aren't that fragile, but could easily break if you dropped the lids. My husband even knows he needs to handle with care--NOT stainless steel. All that being said, I could not ask for prettier containers.

Rarely do I need to purchase canisters, but when I do, it has to be perfect for my Provence-inspired kitchen. There is an old world charm about this set. The weightiness feels just right. The raised emblem on the front Is reminiscent of a trip to Paris. The lids have an embossed finial that really puts it over the top. I particularly like the oval shape of the canister, so it can rest against the back splash nice and neat. The color is an unusual shade of blue that really appeals to my sense of aesthetics. This is the first set of canisters that have received compliments. Great purchase.

These canisters are even more beautiful in person! Love them!!! They have a rustic appearance and are of functional size. I've seen some reviews which indicate the lids do not seal fully, but mine do. They are well-packaged and mine arrived in tact. The price is a steal- a fraction of others I have viewed.

These are BEAUTIFUL! And much larger than I envisioned, which is great. The only complaints I have are with Amazon, selling me a “Used” (meaning returned) set, and that it’s obvious why they were returned. Shame on them for not disclosing they were a used item. The lid for One of the jars in the set I received do not completely fit flush to the bottoms, and the seal on one of the lids is a little loose so it won’t seal in something that needs to be airtight. I have no problem with that as I have something I can store in it that doesn’t need that particular function, but it could be an issue for someone looking to store flour, coffee, sugar, tea, etc... I’m actually looking for a second set if I can find one that has correctly working lids.

It was nice to find a canister set that really can hold some quantity! What happened to the days when canisters would hold a bag of sugar and flour? These canisters are true to the color shown in the pictures, sturdy, and tight-fitting lids. In another review, someone mentioned the awkwardness of the oval shape opening. That is a bit of an issue when the food product is filled to the top. I currently have a scoop stuck in my sugar canister. But as the level goes down I will be able to remove it. Just need to position the scoop downward and not across.

These canisters are absolutely beautiful! They certainly are much bigger than I had expected, and the color is a little lighter than in the picture. The opening, as others have mentioned, is oval which can make for awkward removal of contents. In the largest canister, we have coffee, the middle canister has sugar, and the small canister has my herbal tea bags. The large canister will hold a large amount of coffee, the middle canister can easily hold an entire bag of sugar, and the small canister was able to accommodate 18 tea bags with ease. As other reviews stated, the plastic seal is a bit off, but I was able to get the lids to sit flush. These canisters are ceramic and heavy duty. They really are very pretty and match my Rachael Ray Agave Blue cookware perfectly! I would definitely recommend this product.

I'll start with the negative because it's important. The handles at the top of the lids break easily. I set the lid on the counter & it tipped onto its side & the top broke off. It didn't fall or hit anything hard. There was no rough handling of it. The really bad part is that they do not have replacement parts. I can't buy a new lid, or even a new cannister/lid. I would need to buy the complete set again. The lids also do not fit securely on the canisters. A removable rubber lining is used & fits differently on each one. The positive: The turquoise color is beautiful & the set looks very nice. However, the broken lid is NOT pretty & I cannot use that one easily now with a broken handle.

These are fabulous! Just beautiful. I had all these plans for what I was going to use them for, the usual flour, sugar, etc. I don’t know if I’m going to use them for that exactly, but whatever I decide, it was worth the money. I would call them a great conversation piece in the kitchen for sure. They are much larger and heavier than I anticipated! The quality of the jars is wonderful; however, my only concern is the silicone seal on the lid. It’s rather cheapish but if you get a little inventive you could replace it with a sturdier seal. One that doesn’t look like it will fall off or apart sooner rather than later.

I had been eyeing this cannister set on Wayfair for months, ($165 price tag held me back naturally 😬) But low, this exact same set appeared through Amazon Warehouse at less than half the price and I snapped it up quicker then you could say "Wayfair sucks." The quality is beyond impressive, the color is beautiful although appears darker in low light (attached picture shows the contrast between direct light/low light). If you are looking for functionality, i.e storage for pantry staples, I would suggest looking for another set. Unless, of course, you have the daintiest of hands and hobbit sized measuring utensils. But if you're looking for something decorative to bring color to a dark kitchen, this is the perfect canister set. I am beyond pleased and think you will be too. Hope this helps in making your decision!

These canisters are very good quality. Lids fit perfectly. Very nice size. Love the antique look. Also like the oval shape. Very unique! They are exactly what I was looking for.

Beautiful colour and design. Sizes were just right for me. But what I loved most were the handles on the lids. The set is absolutely stunning !
