What is kiln dried sand used for?

It is primarily used to fill joints between block paving, patio slabs, and brickwork. Its ultra-dry, fine texture makes it perfect for brushing into narrow gaps, providing stability, reducing movement, and enhancing the overall appearance

Is this sand ready to use?

Yes – this sand is pre-dried and ready to apply straight from the bag. No mixing or additional preparation is needed. Simply pour and brush it into the joints for a fast, clean finish.

Will this help prevent weeds?

Absolutely. When brushed and compacted properly, the fine grains form a tight seal in the joints, making it harder for weeds to grow through. For best results, apply to dry surfaces and compact well.

Can I use it in wet weather or on damp paving?

For optimal results, apply only in dry conditions. The sand must stay dry to flow freely into the joints. Using it on wet surfaces may cause clumping or uneven distribution.

How much area does one 20kg bag cover?

Coverage varies depending on joint width and paving type, but generally one 20kg bag covers approximately 5–10 square metres. Wider or deeper joints will require more product.
