I had always figured a cannula was a cannula and always bought boxes of 50 Medline 4-footers. I'd open a fresh one and inside of 2 or 3 days they'd start to stiffen up. After a week I had to toss it and break out another one. All because the tubing stiffened up. The first thing I noticed with these was the different tubing; more translucent than clear. I've been using my first of the new ones now for a week, and so far, so stiffening I can tell. My biggest beef with cannulas was the kinky tubing that would never relax and was always in the way. This tubing relaxed soon after opening so it's not always in a loop under my elbow. It didn't have nearly the unpleasant out-gassing you get with any new cannula. Every cannula I'd ever seen was basically made the same, so I figured they all needed to be replaced every week or so. I don't know how long this cannula will last, but it's entirely possible when all is said and done, that my $8 purchase saved me the $40 I was planning to spend on the Medlines. If it stays pliable, why replace it? No moving parts; it'll never wear out. What a waste; all that plastic in landfills because it's made from the wrong material.

The tubing is perfect in size and quite soft and flexible without kinks. My ONLY ISSUE is the overwhelming chemical smell of these. I did a proper cleaning wipe down of the tubing with alcohol wipes and it helped ease the smell a bit. But with use the odor will quickly subside. Would have given 5 stars but the smell took one star away.

All I order from is ResOne. They are great because they're tubing is not really stiff and the cannula is super soft. I like the 4' foot when I use my portable oxygen so I'm not dragging all this extra tubing around.

Bought these for my Mother who is on 24/7 O2. The cannulae provided by her Oxygen supplier company always irritated her ears and under her nose. Thought we’d give these a try and she likes them so much better.

The 4 foot nasal cannula 's are so much handlers than the longer ones. They make getting around with the hoses so less likely to catch on things. Love them.
