The New Berry Fruits Jewel Has subtle references to our iconic fruit jelly that dates back to 1913, offering a beautifully soft exterior with a sweet, gooey centre generously coated in a fine sugar. Newberry fruit jewels were originally made in a Bedfordshire factory. They were first made just under a hundred years ago and due to their popularity have remained as favourites to this day. Now made in Germany they are prepared to the same traditional recipe and have maintained their delicious taste and elegant appearance. They are comprised of assorted fruit jellies with a liquid centre in a sugar crust. Flavours include Strawberry, Raspberry, Lemon, Lime, Orange and Blackcurrant. The fruit jellies burst with flavour and the contrast of the melt in the mouth jelly, the crispy sugar crust and the liquid fruit centre combine to create a truly memorable experience. The box itself is a piece of cultural artwork, embossed with the phrase ‘The original and the best’ they are sure not to disappoint.

tasty but not a patch on the orininal Meltis Newbrry fruits
Tasty but not a patch on the orininal Meltis Newberry fruits. These are individually wrapped, quite large, and only come in 4 flavours - lime with lemon centre, orange with raspberry centre, raspberry with lemon centre and pineapple with raspberry centre. The centres are soft, not liquid and they are very sweet, almost sickly. The originals had more flavours, were less sickly, with crisp outer shells and liquid centres which matched the rest of the sweet. definitely a retrograde step. Will not be buying these again.

Just Jellies.
These jellies are NOT like New Berry Fruits at all. No liquid centre in that lovely sugar crust at all. Very dissapointd will never buy again. The original or nothing.

Not what I expected
I was expecting these fruit jellies to have the iconic sugar coated liquid fruit flavour centres. They didn't. They were just fruit flavoured jellies - such a disappointment.Purchase will not be repeated.

Not much flavour
The only advantage is that they are easy to carry, as the jellies are individually wrapped. Otherwise they are more sugar than flavour. I found them softer than the ones in carton boxes. It is an attempt to creat a liquid center but basically that is just another colour softer jelly. The granules of sugar which coat the jellies are too big in my opinion.

Not bad but could be better
These are strongly fruit flavoured and an interesting contrast to the more traditional New Berry Fruits, but are not as good. The inclusion of a dfifferent flavoured supposedly soft jelly inside each sweet does not really work - there is no discernible texture difference and they might as well make the whole jelly with a combined flavour. The packing is just plain daft - different coloured wrappers are used randomly across all the flavours. Why? The colours are meaningless. They should be colour coded as to flavour. So nice but in no way a suitable replacement for the traditional version of these sweets.

Newberry fruits
Good selection of flavours. Tastes like genuine fruit not synthetic. Packed in plastic bags so not very attractive to give as a present but the boxes are more expensive so if you just want to have them yourself, the type of packaging doesn't matter although it is a shame that it is not recyclable plastic.

No liquid centre at all - misdescribed
These are NOT the liquid centre jellies 'newberry fruits' I thought I purchased from the SELLERS description - they are just big jexpensive jellies.I cant send them back but AM disappointed as not what I wanted at all

Too much sugar
These sweets have far to much sugar and no liquid centre they are so sweet I cannot eat them or give them away ,I would not give to my friends so I will just have to bin them ,a complete waste of money.
