I was promoted at work, and I knew it would require me to be on the phone fielding numerous calls during busy events. I had an expensive set of ear buds for my personal phone that I didn't want to use on my work phone, so I started looking for a moderately priced option. My research brought me to the Nothing earbuds, and I have been blown away by their performance. First and foremost, they are exceptional at phone calls. They connect almost instantly to the iPhone when I open the case and are usually connected before I can even get the first one in my ear. For calls, they are loud and very clear. I have some hearing loss, but the Nothing buds easily provide enough volume for me to clearly hear the other person, even when I only use one bud. The microphone is also very clear for the person on the other end of the call, even when I am in a noisy environment. This was the reason I purchased the Nothing earbuds, and they have exceeded all expectations. Take note; the noise cancelling works extremely well. There were many times I simply used one earbud because I needed to be able to hear what was happening around me. However, for those important calls, the noise cancelling is extremely effective. Coupled with the excellent microphone, I was able to effectively communicate on calls in noisy environments. They also last a very long time on a single charge. I have yet to run out of charge even during long periods of use. The case itself also holds a charge, so the buds are charging whenever they are in the case. Both the buds and the case charge quickly and I have never run into any issues. These would be perfect for travelling; you can consume lots of media or phone calls without worrying about running out of juice. Aside from the excellent phone call quality, the Nothing buds are also excellent at listening to media. The Nothing ear buds have a good amount of bass and are very clear all the way up to the high notes, which are crisp and clear but not harsh or punishing. I tested them through a wide range of music: metal, rap, country and it all sounded clear. Likewise, YouTube and other videos or movies sounded clear and immersive. Speaking of long stretches of media or phone calls, the Nothing earbuds were very comfortable for long stretches of time. They could easily be worn for extended periods without any irritation. They fit securely in my ears and never felt loose or like they were going to fall out. I did not test them while jogging or running, but they didn't fall out or come loose during gym workouts. Overall, these earbuds are an exceptional value for the money. They performed nearly as well as my other earbuds that cost two and a half times more. If you are looking for a high performing set of earbuds at a moderat price, the Nothings will not disappoint.

I'm going to go long here, hoping it may help a fellow music lover with fairly severe hearing deficiencies. I am 71, and have music playing probably 4 to 8 hrs a day on average. I always strive for quality in sound over features and even ease of use. I am super pleased with my Nothing Ear Buds. IF YOU SUFFER FROM FAIRLY SEVERE HEARING LOSS and have to wear hearing aids just to function as I do, AND: demand great Accurate sound, not just decent sound when listening to music, you should try these buds. So many positives. NOTE: I don't care about noise cancelling. Just an added plus. My hearing is about 30% to 50% accurate on live conversation and lyrics in music without hearing aids, probably 60% to 80% with hearing aids. Listening to music, (which I do daily for hours); with these buds I hear probably 85 to 95+% of lyrics correctly when streaming. I am amazed. AND the sound quality is incredible. Tiny details on light percussion, string instruments, mandalins...etc are crystal clear. But they can rock too. Softer music is more difficult to reproduce accurately IMO. I own quality hearing aids, have a main stereo valued at $15,000+, incorporating a Soundcraftsman EQ 2215R, (used in many studios), and a DBX-3BX, both of which improve clarity and fine tune sound to your personal preference. And I actually hear lyrics and instruments more clearly through these buds than my stereo. These work for me due to the the incredible clarity produced using the included flexible EQ, which is sooooo easy to customize. I guess it's kind of a hybrid EQ in that i believe it combines functions of both Graphic and Parametric EQs. Crazy versatility. Without the EQ, I probably hear 50% of lyrics correctly with these, and that wouldn't be enough for me to keep these. Not a fault of the buds, it's how severe my hearing loss is. It just amazes me that they can compensate for my poor hearing. I have a bluetooth adaptor that allows any wired headphones to be hooked up as bluetooth. I use it with a pair of Sennheiser HD 650 cans and EQs loaded on my tablet and phone, and these buds sound every bit as clear as the Sennheisers. The only slight sound advantage for the Sennheisers is they are OPEN over the ear cans, so they produce a little bit wider soundstage. But i don't believe any buds can replicate that. At least, not at this price. And the Sennheisers and Bluetooth adaptor combined cost me more than 4 times the price of these buds. TESTING I have a few songs I listen to when adjusting my systems. I only needed to hear one test song to realize how incredible these buds are....Lou Reed's, "Walk on the Wild Side" from the Transformer album. His vocals are so clear, I can actually hear a little more tiny fluctuation in his voice, (maybe due to breathing???) than on my home stereo. The upright bass notes come out totally clear and separate; not masked by the base drum, which itself, has varied intensity. Some of the base drum notes are softer, while others are more emphasized and the difference is perfectly clear. the subtle string instruments are clear and slightly more forward than on my home stereo, ( which could be partially due to how I have my Soundcraftsman EQ dialed in). I was not expecting such a 3 dimensional sound, nor did I expect such "space" between individual instruments. Nothing is lost in the background, a testament to both the overall design & performance of the buds combined with the EQ. In summary, these buds are one of my top couple of "music" investments in the last 5 years and EXCEED all of my expectations. If you've avoided buds out of fear you can't fine tune them enough to overcome your hearing deficincies, like me, these might be your answer. My only regret is that I didn't purchase them sooner.

Great, great, great earbuds. I bought these to replace my Bose earbuds, because my expectation for Bose was to last forever, so when they unexpectedly broke, I was convinced I wasn't going to spend that much on earbuds to replace them. I take such good care of mine, so it was crushing. The things I require are comfortable, long battery life, great sound quality, and anyone I call while wearing them should not feel like I'm at the end of a tunnel. Comfort: Every new earbud shape takes a little time to get used to. It has been the same for any set I have ever owned, with the exception of SkullCandy smokin' buds, but those were an anomaly. I got used to these in about the standard amount of time, and now that I'm used to them, I barely notice when they're in. Battery life: I have been on a three-hour call wearing these, and they never gave any indication that they were running anywhere near out of juice. When I'm not using them, they go right into their case and recharge there. The longest I have gone without charging them with daily use was just over a week and a half. Sound quality: This is where these blew my mind. Out of the box, they are a happy mix between the clarity of the Bose and the low end of my Beats. Surprisingly enough, especially as these replaced Bose. Then I found something that I still can't quite wrap my head around months later: in the app, there is a section to personalize the sound. Being honest, I don't have the patience to set all those up and will just deal with what comes out from the factory. I decided to see what it was about, and it does this hearing test, like you get at the audiologist, by reacting to tones when you hear them. The whole thing took maybe five minutes. When it was finished.... holy smokes!! It tuned the earbuds to match where my hearing levels are for the entirety of the frequency range. When I listen to music from my playlist, I am hearing things in songs that I didn't know were in there; new instruments, beats, atmosphere... everything. I must have listened to music for a good two hours after going through that setup. This alone makes these my favorites. Call quality: They have six microphones in them, so it picks up what you're saying very clearly. In my house, I have sketchy cell reception and can walk around up to 50 ft away, and whoever is on the other end has reported that it sounds just like I'm holding the phone up to my face. They connect quickly, so I can take them out of the box and have them in my ear and connected before the phone sends a call to voicemail. These are my favorites. I have used a lot of earbuds over the years, and they beat them. The Bose were the most comfortable, but that's a high bar to make it over. These are still very comfortable. The sound quality, though... blown away.

I’m constantly on the move, and I needed a pair of earbuds that could handle a long flight or a noisy train ride without feeling bulky. I picked up the Nothing Ear (the 2024 flagship model) because I was curious about the "Bass Enhance" and the Hi-Res audio support. I wanted something that looked a bit different but still had the tech to keep up with my calls and my music library. The Breakdown The first thing that stands out is definitely the design. The transparent look is pretty slick and definitely catches the eye, but the real win is the comfort. These are very light. I’ve worn them for three-hour stretches while catching up on work, and I didn't get that "clogged ear" feeling or any soreness. WORST BRAND & EXPERIENCE EVER!! I CAUTION ANY POTENTIAL BUYER AVOID THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE. I hardly every write reviews especially this long but felt it was necessary. Here is my story which to this day remain unresolved. Less than 10 months from time of purchase my case stopped holding a charge, and unable to charge or connect to the ear buds. I reach out 3/30 since they are under warranty to get them repaired. First red flag, Nothing Tech kept going back and forth with unnecessary "troubleshooting" steps to where it felt they were blaming me. I provided a response of the steps in detail they asked which only progressed when I notified them I was an Electronics Engineer (This is True) and was not looking to fix them myself to prevent voiding the warranty. I finally received a RMA number 4/5, after that struggle, along with delay in getting a shipping address 4/11 to send the faulty product back for repair. I shipped them later that day on 4/11 and received confirmation they received them a few days later. They claimed repair process typically takes 3–5 business days once the device arrives, excluding shipping time and subject to parts availability.. So a wait patiently as a week goes bye, so almost ~13 days later I follow up with requesting an update 4/27. Now this where the uncooperative experience and lack of accountability is highlighted with there "customer support". They responded the device was delivered on 4/20 and they provided a track number. So I go look up the FedEx details and in my mail box NO package still. FedEx provides proof the package was signed by unknown person not in my household, listing ONLY the city in the tracker but the actual address was blank. I reach back out to Nothing and they provided feedback the package was delivered and recommend to ask my neighbor which I they did NOT have my package. Also requested them to confirmed the account return address was correct and associated with me 4/27, which it was. I went back to my security cameras to look at the time and date they claimed the package was delivered which I have clear view of my street and nearby neighbos along with front door camer, NO package. I filled a claim through FedEx as they also recommended asking. I later 4/30 spoke with a FedEx representative on the phone. FedEx confirmed the address on the tracking number which Nothing provided was not mine but was delivered to the same city which I lived, this explained the signed package from unknown person.. I once again reach out to Nothing 4/30 letting them know FedEx claim was denied because it was delivered to correct address associated with tracking number, once again NOT mine. Since it was not stolen or lost I could not file a report of any kind with either FedEx or the police. The FedEx representative ask I confirm this was the correct tracking number and possibly two different shipping information were put on the package. I contact Nothing asking for the actual address associated with the tracking number along with RMA number they provide was accurate 5/1. Nothing responded back with claim of delivery but FedEx shipped to wrong address and ONLY supplying my city as proof Nothing sent package to correct address 5/2 to file a complaint directly with Fedex. Now I'm responding back with receipts of proof FedEx did there part along with a screenshot of this NEGATIVE 1000 review with no resolution in sight and my hard earned money waisted on their product and services. I once again WARN or better yet to NOT purchase anything from them to have to go through the same experience, there are much better brands out there who standby the quality of their products and value their customers.

I'm actually not sure that my units are fully functional. I've never used noise cancelling earphones before, so I didn't know what to expect. I was unimpressed. I use transparency more the most, for wearing at work. If they're next me it doesn't do much, but if someone's having a conversation across the room, I can sometimes hear them pretty well. Noise cancellation seems no better than passive noise isolation of buds I typically use, and is definitely less effective than Comply foam tips I often upgrade to. For comparison, my teen daughter has Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. She thought they were broken, so I cleaned them and put new tips on, then tested them out. The transparency mode was a little digitized, but was really clear. Noise cancellation was also very effective, although when it first started there was a strange sucking sensation on my ear drums. It made me realize just how bad this feature was on my Nothings. I was really disappointed. I wanted to support a company that wasn't one of the largest in the world. I should've just bought some Galaxy buds. Pros: - sound quality is pretty good, especially if you do the hearing test for the "Personal Sound Profile". Bassy and full. - battery life is reasonable - about 5 hours with transparency mode (essential for wearing at work) - comfort is pretty good using the included silicon ear tips. I wear them for 4 to 5 hours without any issues - looks pretty good with the transparent smoked casing - touch controls are tactile, intuitive and customizable - wireless charging is nice, so long as you've got a charging pad. The case is magnetized, but doesn't really work very effectively with magsafe chargers - case is a nice size and shape. It fits in the pocket fairly comfortably. The buds snap nicely in place for charging - software is easy to use Cons: - not sure the noise cancellation/transparency actually works. Could just be a defective set. Maybe I should have opened a ticket, but until recently I just didn't know better. Regardless, they're either unreliable, or this feature just isn't very good. Since I bought them with this feature in mind that knocks a significant number of stars off my review, for what is otherwise a decent product.

Second update: After finally being able to connect with the seller, they were the definition of excellent with their customer service. I reached out to them during the holiday rush and had a replacement unit that seems to be completely new sent to me. The bus are add amazing as the first pair were. This time I will be more mindful of where I keep my favorite earbuds, and fart far away from the washing machine. Thank you Essential Tech and Nothing. In the past two years, I have used or owned just about every single pair of earbuds under $500. I use the nothing year 2024 version every day and sometimes I don’t even think to grab the other ones. Everything comes with some form of trade-off any with the nothing I would say these these are battery life and sound. Both of these trade offs are minimal. The battery life is fine and because of wireless charging they get back to useable levels quickly. In terms of sound I personally rank the Sennheiser Momentum 4 as the buds that have sounded the best to me, an arbitrary “10”. If the M4 are a 10 I’d say the nothing are an 8, unless you just love bass, if you do, these are a 9.5. Pros: Comfort- as comfortable as a stem style earbud I’ve ever used. I wear these in any sweaty environment and they DO NOT Fall out..looking at you Apple and Samsung Pro 3 Connectivity- again another place where these are as good as any bud with multiple devices except the Technics AZ80, which can pair to 3 devices (something I never used once) Controls- this is where I believe the buds start to stand out. You have many options to choose from how you want these to work, almost anyone can find a setup that works. The one thing they don't do is slide for volume control. Call/mic quality- from everyone I’ve talked there is a Night and Day difference in me talking with these buds and anything else, yes even Apple AirPod pros. Apparently they block out most of the background noise as well. This might be the biggest selling point for the buds. It’s Exceptional Durability- I mentioned before that these stay in no matter what sweaty activity I’m doing they also push through no matter what activity I’m doing whether it’s sweat rain splashes of water, falling in water the case has held up to exposure to water everything it’s one of the stronger qualities of the buds, and the case, is the durability. IP54 does don't protect against a washing machine or total submersion. Transparency mode- Again, transparency mode is one of those things that it just does really well very similar to the call quality it’s top of the line in terms of the way the transparency mode operates and functions. It’s one of the best that there are right now. App functionality- I mentioned that the controls are amazing and they are just a part of an amazing app for these buds. You can find any sound profile that you love and as I mentioned in the sound earlier if you love bass bass is a thing that you must have with earbuds. These are the best style earbuds. I’ve ever used it. It’s it’s a level that is disruptive. That’s how there’s controls you can’t even fathom EQ settings. As far as you can imagine it’s really top-notch. I would say that the app is a 10 out of 10 for all of the functionality that you can use for these buds and if you just want to use default stuff it works really well there too the app is another amazing point. Trade offs: Noise cancellation- if the Bose quiet comfort and the Sennheiser and the Sony are tens, then the nothings are probably eight or 8 1/2 the Bose could be by themselves, but the little hissing white noise that’s with them when you not running music bothers me to no end so I can’t rank them a 10. I think these are just a few marks below any of the premium top 2 to 3 times the price of these earbuds noise cancellation performance more than doable. Sound- Well, I said the app gives you great flexibility for sound and even sound quality they don’t stack up to the higher budget earbuds in this regard they notice don’t sound as good or is clear or as crisp as the Sennheiser momentum force not many earbuds. Do they are clearly not there once again. I probably put these in about an eight or 8 1/2 if the Sennheiser are number one. But the sound is good enough for me to pick these up every single time I’m leaving the house and just taking earbuds just in case or when I’m going to the guy I know that these will always be good enough customization next level that you can get really close, especially if you have a phone that supports higher and codec, you’ll notice that increase just a little bit and that makes that little bump each way up ahead of other earbuds like Bose, Samsung, and AirPods and all the other ones in that price range they sound better than jabra which are almost $300. Battery- battery is the spot that the nothings have made the biggest improvement on because previously their batteries were not very good at all and now they’re passable. They’re quite decent and get about six hours out of them using Hi-Rez Kodex and ANC about six hours maybe 5 1/2 just kind of depending on circumstances and everything else but about 5 1/2 six hours that’s about what you get out of most of them the Sony or a 10 in this area these would be, I don’t know previously they were five or four so nice improvement in terms of the battery like I said it being rechargeable via wireless charging is really helpful. It just makes it quick and easy. Throw it on the back of your phone if it supports it in 10 minutes 20 minutes you got enough charge to get going and do whatever you need so it’s not terrible like it was it makes it very doable and passable now. TL;DR These earbuds are a significant improvement over the previous generation for anything in their price range. They are right up there at the top as far as the best or close to the best in this price range I luckily got mine on sale on Amazon. I think they were 115 120 for the amount of money there’s nothing that touches these. I have the momentum 4s, I have the technic AZ80s, I’ve had several AirPod pros, I have the Samsung buds Pro three and the budsPro 2, list the earbuds under $400. I’ve had them or still own them and these earbuds check enough of the boxes that matter to me that I use these consistently more than the other ones , probably one of the biggest good sound good ANC great quality, multipoint connection and durability. These aspects make them, the go anywhere earbud, they consistently deliver what I want from them. I love this purchase and will absolutely recommend these buds to anyone who seeks these qualities from their buds, especially in the stem style.

TLDR: Good headphones, too expensive, charging case ruined by washer on first wash. Good headphones, a bit expensive (my opinion), active noise canceling is good but buggy at times, app features are neat and useful, cool programming tricks in the headphones themselves, "find my headphones" feature works better than Samsung (based on discussion with coworker). Range is less than expected, battery life is worse than expected. These were my first new headphones in 3 years, replacing some JBL Go Air earbuds, so that's the baseline for my review. I bought these headphones "Used-Like New" for $79, the package was still sealed and had never been opened, and I used some amazon points to lower my cost to around $59. After reading a ton of reviews for various buds, I thought these looked cool, the performance looked really nice, and the price was more reasonable to me. All of these things are great. I saw another reviewer mention that their headphones were randomly pausing while chewing, I'd guess they didn't have their headphones properly fitted for their ears; here is why: The app for these headphones has a "fit" test built in, during this test it plays audio and uses the external microphones to "listen" to see how much sound is leaking out. Given this test it can suggest you change the tip size. Anyway, these headphones have a feature where if you pull one of the two headphones from your ear, it detects that, and it automatically pauses whatever you are listening to (the headphones are basically assuming you pulled one headphone out to listen to and talk with someone, so it pauses for your conversation. Some pretty cool programming, but it can be weird, sometimes I'll pull one headphone out while at work just to keep a more active ear and it pauses, but I understand why so it doesn't bother me too much. As for the reasons I'm giving these headphones 3 out of 5, the active noise cancelling is really cool, this is my first time ever having this feature, but sometimes it gets funky and pushes external sounds through and amplifies them louder than what they would normally be (like my lawn mower when I turn my head) I wish this performed a little better. The buds also die pretty quickly, I think they have like a 3-4 hour charge when using the noise cancelling, not sure how the life changes when you turn that off, but this means I now make sure to put them in the case to charge at work when I'm at lunch or taking a break from using them, if I don't keep them charged they will die during work. The last complaint I have about these headphones is the range. I'm not sure if it is my pair in particular, if it is caused by using the "connect to two devices" feature, or if all these headphones work this way, but the range is pretty poor. If I walk to the restroom about 50' away they start losing signal and getting buggy. With the JBL headphones I could walk over a hundred feat away from my phone or computer and they didn't miss a beat. The range and battery issues may be a result of the small size of these buds, comparatively they are much smaller than my last pair, and I suppose that is worth the trade off. I just wasn't expecting downgrades in a few areas when these headphones are 3 years newer and 4x the retail price.

Heard about this brand a few months ago (their phones), but didn't pay too much attention. But encountered them again during my searching for some burdening combo replacement (Bose QC II + AirPods). My AirPods are almost 3 yrs old (battery is almost dead), but newer Bose can't be used instead of them (bad mic, unstable connection etc). Eventually, read a lot about some alternative and decided to give a try with the Nothing Ear 2024 (their price was really unbeatable). All in all, I'm still fascinated about my experience with their usage! Custom sound profile (wow! the only comparable sound was with my PSB M4, but it's a different niche), perfect mic even in a very tricky and noisy conditions, decent ANC (even compared to Bose's), and slightly unusual but convenient gesture control. Time will tell regarding their reliability, but overall impression about this model - very well engineered and designed headset! PS Still trying to understand how these guys achieved IP55 for the case 😀

Il driver in ceramica da 11 mm offre una buona separazione degli strumenti e, con registrazioni di qualità, la differenza rispetto ad auricolari più economici si percepisce chiaramente. L’app Nothing X è uno dei loro punti di forza. L’equalizzatore avanzato permette di intervenire in maniera molto più precisa rispetto ai classici controlli di bassi, medi e alti, mentre il profilo audio personale adatta la riproduzione ai risultati di un breve test dell’udito. All’inizio richiede qualche minuto di configurazione, ma consente di ottenere un suono realmente vicino ai propri gusti. Con uno smartphone Android compatibile è possibile utilizzare i codec LDAC o LHDC per l’audio ad alta risoluzione. Non trasformano automaticamente ogni brano, ma con una buona sorgente e musica in qualità elevata restituiscono più dettaglio e una scena sonora più ariosa. Per sfruttarli bisogna però verificare che il telefono supporti il codec scelto. La cancellazione attiva del rumore funziona bene con i rumori continui, come ventilatori, traffico distante e brusio da ufficio. La modalità adattiva regola automaticamente l’intensità dell’ANC, oppure si può scegliere manualmente fra tre livelli. Non raggiunge l’isolamento quasi totale dei migliori modelli specializzati e le voci vicine rimangono parzialmente percepibili, ma nell’uso quotidiano è più che valida. Nothing dichiara una riduzione massima fino a 45 dB, mentre prove indipendenti ne giudicano l’efficacia buona ma non ai vertici della categoria. Gli auricolari sono leggeri e, scegliendo correttamente i gommini, restano comodi anche per ascolti prolungati. I comandi a pressione sullo stelo sono più affidabili dei normali controlli a sfioramento perché riducono i tocchi involontari. Utile anche la connessione simultanea a due dispositivi, per esempio computer e telefono, anche se passando da un dispositivo all’altro può esserci occasionalmente un piccolo ritardo. L’autonomia è buona, ma dipende parecchio dalle funzioni utilizzate. I valori massimi dichiarati arrivano a 8,5 ore con gli auricolari e a 40,5 ore complessive con la custodia; attivando contemporaneamente ANC e codec ad alta risoluzione la durata reale scende inevitabilmente. Molto comode la ricarica rapida e quella wireless della custodia. La versione nera è elegante, ma la plastica trasparente trattiene facilmente impronte e piccoli segni. Anche la modalità trasparenza e i microfoni durante le telefonate sono validi, senza però essere il motivo principale per scegliere questo modello. Nel complesso sono auricolari completi e soprattutto molto piacevoli da ascoltare. Design originale, ottima app, suono personalizzabile e tante funzioni realmente utili: cinque stelle, nonostante una cancellazione del rumore buona ma non imbattibile.
