This is not a bad car for a beginner! Just like every other Nitro RC, the pull start string gives out after many uses. So I upgraded to a drill start, which is also sold on Amazon. Using the drill starter makes life easier so you can adjust the high speed needle while cranking. And forgot to mention, just like every other nitro rc, USE A STAND while starting, because if you have your idle set high while the wheels are on the ground, you’ll have a run away car and if you press down on the car like I did to catch it, the clutch pads will wear down eventually shaving down your clutch spring until it snaps, then you have spinning wheels upon start-up no matter how low you set the idle. So I also replaced the clutch pads, which are also on Amazon, be aware that some are bigger than others and may require lathe machining to fit your bell housing. Most pads sold are for single speed bell housings. This model is a TWO SPEED so the bell housing is different. Also, the glow plug igniter is small! So it dies quick after many attempts to start! I do not regret buying this car! It’s frustrating at times, but if you have general knowledge of auto mechanic service, very easy to get going.

This car is not worth the money they are asking for it. Unless you want to buy the car AND the upgraded prices all in one go, and upgrade the whole car before ever using it. The user manual guide also shows a weed eater motor instead of what's in the actual car. Save your time and energy and buy a kit car.

Some nitro experience makes it easier Not just plug and play but with a little experience or time learning Great car so far 2qt of 20% nitro down and one set of tires No major problems yet Had to tighten somethings up and do adjustments but nothing outa the normal for a new car

Definitely gonna be fixing more than driving it. But def a fun car. Transmission will strip on you and one way bearing will fail so get replacements if you buy. Def get a drill start because the pull start will def break. Other than that it’s alright for the price. It’s pretty fast to be honest but not as fast as they say it goes.

My first gas powered car, I LOVE IT! huge fun, super fast and agile. I would recommend getting an electric starter for it. A little engine knowledge does help. Watch there video on starting. I see bad reviews on here and id sum most of them up to user error.

My son really like this and I got it for him and it was a great surprise however the truck broke when he tried pulling the trigger where it starts. Would never buy an off the market over priced RC car from amazing ever again.
