I have ordered and returned over £2000 of shoes from e.g. clarks, db shoes, birkenstock, sketchers, over the last 6 years to try to get a decent extra wide fit shoe, that is comfortable and of a decent width without being over tall at the front (toe box). I found This shoe to be a really nice fit, finally! The leather is also slightly softer than most so a little easier on the sides of your feet, have sourced four pairs from various retailers to prevent the reoccurrence of my shoe hell!Clarks fittings seem to have narrowed considerably over the last 5-6 years, and some of their sole patterns can be uncomfortable underfoot, due to weird blob patterns or over-wide gaps in the tread, but there are no such concerns with these, and they are grippy giving confidence when walking, also nice to drive in.

The shoes are a lot heavier than expected. Hence it is not suitable for day to day wearing.

I have been using this clarks model for many years and I am quite satisfied. Shipped on time andarrived a little late but it was worth the wait.

Comfortable, true to size, but a little overpriced. Had this one before and was very hard to find. Lasted me a good five years. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a basic smart leather shoe.

These are my fourth pair bought on-line over several years. The fit is always consistent and correct for my feet, having established many years ago in a Clarks high street shop what shape my feet were and what sizes from their range fit me. Normally I buy them direct from Clarks, but for once the Az deal was better.They are properly waterproof with the Goretex lining and with some care can polish up very well to look quite smart. However they are really a 'daily walk to work' type of shoe designed for comfort and a lot of walking in varied conditions. They are quite heavy, but then they are also tough and durable.Whilst a good shape with ample room for the toes, they do not have a hard toecap, which is a bonus for me as I find toecaps always cut into my toes. The padding inside around the top of the upper is very soft and comfortable and ensures that I never get any blisters on my heels with these shoes.When I move on to a new pair the older one becomes the general purpose shoes used for anything from DIY to light gardening, and it still cleans up well! For really heavy outdoor work I use some tough old leather walking boots with a reinforced Vibram sole, but their grip on hard shiny wet surfaces is less good than the Clarks sole, hence my often using old pairs of the Clarks when I should really be using the tougher boots.

Having already owned two pairs of these shoes, I new exactly what to expect. They are a very comfortable and hard wearing shoe, perfect for working indoors or out.
