Q: Can I buy a longer cart plug in cord

I believe the battery charging plugs are standard length. You can use a regular extension cord 15 Amp to get the charger closer to your golf cart.

It could take 18 hours to fully charge your battery's, make sure they have the proper amount of water in them. I have a 48 volt system and the charger will shut off at 62 volts and turns on at 47 volt. Did this just start happening or after buying a new charger?

Q: Do you have to bypass the obc to charge a club car precedent?

You have to bypass the OBC for any non-club car charger. This is because CC opted to put the control portion of the charger on the cart instead of leaving the control portion of the charger in the charger. So without bypassing that controller it isn't compatible. But, bypassing the controller to get your battery charged is very easy. You would need to connect the charging leads directly to the battery instead of going to and through the controller. If you are doing this then I'd also look at replacing the battery voltage gauge in the dash to a digital one that shows you the exact voltage numerically, no bar graph or gauge with a needle. This is especially true if you're running lithium batteries, you need to know the V.
