Very handy little ice maker. Great for portable ice for mixed drinks. I put them in the cooler, so when we mybwife wants clean drinkable ice, I have some.

It's okay, it does make ice cubes, but it doesn't close very well (doesn't seal) which makes a big ice cube at the bottom. Unless you put something heavy on top of it. But does make small cubes of ice that are easy to put into a water bottle. Probably wouldn't buy it again more trouble than it's worth.

I washed the trays when I received them, then filled with water and put in the freezer. I had some difficulty getting the two sections apart after they were frozen. That might have improved with practice. I used the ice cubes in a glass of plain water and very quickly noticed tiny bits of plastic floating on top of the water! Nice idea,, but a total fail.

I washed this thing three times and it's still leaking a thick oily residue onto the ice cubes.

Will be ordering a second. Way better than the old ice trays of the past! Works great, will be nice to have in the small freezer in my camper! Kids and my dog love the smaller cubes for eating! Fast shipping and packaged well!

I love the idea of this water displacement ice cube tray. It works well. I'd say this is the easiest ice cube tray I've ever filled in my life. Although a bit annoying to clean, it's not overly difficult to where I would stop using it. The tray was also extremely satisfying to crack and it's simple to store. I did notice a smell when I took it out of the package, unfortunately it didn't go away after washing or after the first use. I'm a bit disappointed by this because silicone is supposed to be scent free, which leads me to believe that the silicone portion is not real silicone. I am not sure how comfortable I feel using it now, as the whole reason I wanted this tray was because silicone is nontoxic. I did also notice that the 'lid' is hard plastic, and that although it does seal the container for freezing, once the ice tray has been cracked, it no longer functions as a lid.

The plastic part that fits down into the mold is like a boat. So you have to put something heavy on top of it or it floats up and doesn't work properly. I should've used common sense before I bought this.
