I wouldn't recommend for your prized cutlery, but your everyday sharp knives... it's perfect
I like kitchen stuff that can go through the dishwasher. I know that doing that makes my sharp knives blunt quicker. So, I have come to really enjoy using this gadget to clean my sharp knives. I believe the sturdy bristles may take the shine off a polished piece of silverware, however for you hard working sharp knives (and to avoid putting them in the dishwasher) this is a very quick clean up tool.

Great for cleaning my kids mess and my old cars
Works well with some cleaner to get rid of the grime that happens in my 20+ year old cars a long with the kid car that gets who knows what spilled on it
