I needed a tool for cutting sheet metal, but I didn't know what that tool was.I'd tried various hand-tools, but they were hard work and made my hands ache.The Nibbler cuts through sheet steel in a chain of little semi-circles, and does so quicker than you'd imagine.Positioning the drill can sometimes be tricky, so that's when those hand tools get involved too - but generally the Nibbler does what I needed it to.I needed a tool for cutting sheet metal, and the Nibbler was it.(It also comes in handy steel storage case, complete with various replacement parts)

Bought this to cut some 2mm thick aluminium sheet, which was just within the capacity listed for the machine. I was cutting straight lines and used the specialist cooling oil as per instructions. The first cut of about a metre, was fast with a stream of small crescent shaped 'nibbles' exiting the cutter. The second cut started well but then suddenly stopped with no 'nibbles' being produced. The cutting rod was not jammed as it was still going in and out. I changed the cutter thinking the first one may have blunted but it still didn't cut. The only thing left was that the oscillating system had stopped functioning correctly and the cutting 'lip' was not reaching the surface of the sheet. Because this is likely to be a weakness in the materials and a recurring problem I decided to return the machine. Perhaps the manufacturers should reduce the recommended thickness of materials it can cut or strengthen the oscillating system if my diagnosis is correct.

Very good nibbler, I use it to cut iron and plastic,very easy to cut and never hurt myself.Small nibbler but good value!

This nibbler is fantastic for the price. It cut through my van door in no time at all. Would definitely recommend.
