Car Waterproof Electrical Connector, 10 Set 2 Pin Waterproof Electrical Connectors, Car Wire Connector Suitable for Car, Truck, Boat and Other Wire Connections

I have used this type of connector before, and they are a common and very effective design. One of my photos shows that they are nearly exactly identical to some I already have.Once assembled correctly, they are completely sealed from the elements, with a rubber seal on each wire, and one between the two halves of the connector. This pack of the twin-wire version come in a ziploc pack, but with no assembly instructions. They are quite complicated, and each step is not obvious. It should be possible to find a video online for those unfamiliar with the connectors, and I have tried to show the stages in the photos. I used 16AWG wires for this, which is about the thickest that can be accommodated. The yellow seals are a tight fit, and needed a little persuading over the silicone insulation on these wires.The bodies seem to be designed to accept rubber boots for additional sealing and protection, but I have not seen these included in sets. £5.20 for ten of these excellent connectors is very reasonable. Recommended.

Nice connectors you can crimp or solder moderately thick leads to.Ideal for car accessories, such as lights or anything you may want to remove for maintenance. Would suit marine applications too, as they are waterproof.Just make sure to put the grommet on first and thread through the connector before soldering/crimping! They stay together well and make good contact.
